Wow! I wish I had that. So far, the only thing I can't tolerate is the Jr. Frosty from Wendy's. Everything else works ok.

Gallbladder has been out for years. I just ate too fast and I don't get a full sensation till a few minutes after I've eaten, I just over did it, and boy did I pay for it. That pain was worse than labor pain. I won't do that again. Thanks all for your help and the tips. I do appreciate it.

Thank you all for your help. It's beginning to ease up now. I did a lot of praying too. Just when I think that maybe my surgery didn't work, I was reminded that yes it did!

Can anyone tell me of a good tasting Greek yogurt? I've tried Dannon light and fit strawberry Greek yogurt and it was awful! Any suggestions appreciated!

Thanks guys for all the help! Just one thing I'm not clear on. When you mix SF jello in with the yogurt, are you talking the pre made or the stuff in the box?

Friday Weigh-In!
kmiller replied to KevinsBabyGirl85's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If its of any encouragement to you, my surgery was 5/1/12. Highest weight was 283.4. I have gained and lost the same 5 lbs. since October. Today, after 2+ months, the scale finally went to 199.6. So it's taken me almost 8 months to lose 84 lbs. if I may ask, what is your age? -
Anyone have this issue? I have to go 4 to 5 times per day. Always with urgency and fear of not making it in time, as this has happened. I'm going to Florida to celebrate my grandsons birthday and I'm scared to death. Any info is appreciated.

Thanks guys! I buy lactose free milk and cottage cheese, and I do have Lactaid tablets. I think I finally got the horrible gas situation taken care of. The GI dr. Said the Prilosec they had me taking twice a day was the culprit. Good grief! The Dr. Prescribed a powder that I mix with water and it seems to be helping some. Thank heavens!

I bought some high protein pancake mix from my bariatric pantry.com, and it was really good. I heated up some sugar free syrup and put on top and it was quite enjoyable. No funky protein taste and it has 15 grams of protein per serving. I highly reccomend!

Ok. I still haven't figured out this dumping thing. If any of you have ever dumped, how long did it take after eating something before you dumped? I think that is where I am getting confused. Does it take an hour or so, and what triggers you?

Friday Weigh-In!
kmiller replied to KevinsBabyGirl85's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Jen in SoCal! I just want you to know that you are not alone. I'm 6 months out, too, and there isn't too much I can't eat. I don't dump, either. I've lost 80 lbs, and am pleased, but I can't seem to get under 200. It seems like I can eat quite a bit as well. I did go back and see the nutritionist and psychiatrist and they say I'm on track and from this point on it will be a slow go. I'm a little worried about regaining, but that is why I weigh regularly. -

Just a wee bit down today. Scale is going the wrong direction and I'm losing motivation. I'm 6 months out today and hoped to be down 100 lbs. by now, but I'm only down 77. Beginning to think ill never see onederland. Before you ask, yes, I'm getting in all of my protein and exercising.

Friday Weigh-In!

I have been out to see the dietician at thevsurgeon's office and she has looked over my diaries, and said it was all perfect. I exercise tons. I have lost 77 lbs since May. I'm not dropping at warp speed anymore, but the dietician said I will loose, but at a slower rate now, because this fat has been with me for many years. It's just discouraging when you yo-yo for a month. -

I guess I wasn't clear when I said that I'm doing what I'm supposed to. I work out 3 times a week with a personal trainer and then walk at least 2 miles a couple of times per week. -

Did I read on here that someone found sublingual calcium? I have tried, CVS, Walmart, GNC, the Vitamin Shoppe, and Drugstore.com all with no luck. If you have them would you please tell me where you got them?

I'm 5 months out and getting in my vitamins and protein. My hair seems to be falling out at warp speed. Anyone else have this? I'm going to be bald on top if this continues.
-
Now my protein fluctuates between 70 - 80 grams per day. I may have to start with the biotin and zinc. I just hate taking more pills.

Fantastic Panda! My scale finally moved a wee bit, too. I'm losing slowly now too, but at least we're losing, right?
