:help: I am having my first fill with a nurse practioner in Marysville, WA (Northwest Fill Management) and am wondering if anyone has used them and can tell me about your experience. I could NOT find a Dr. in the Seattle/Tacoma/Everett area who would do a fill after surgery in Mexico. What gives??? What are the risks of doing the fill w/o laproscopy?? Many thanks for any information you can give me. Grateful in Seattle banded June 22, 2007 by Dr Valencia

When I was banded on June 22, 2007 by Dr Valencia (who I really suggest strongly, see my prior e-mail) there were 2 patients on my floor who had Dr Lopez. The comparison was like night and day. I would strongly advise against Dr Lopez from what I have heard from others at the hospital and on these pages.

I was banded on June 22, 2007 by Dr. Valencia and the entire experience was professional. I felt that the Doctors paid more attention and the hospital was cleaner than in the US. My only concern was that the nurses spoke little or no English. I speak some Spanish and that helped. I would highly suggest you bring a Spanish/English dictionary and someone to act as your advocate. I was vey nervous about going to Mexico for the surgery bu the difference in cost was too good to pass up. I am now looking for dentists in Mexico. I'd be interested in staying in touch with anyone who was banded around the same time. grateful!!

:ranger: Hi Again Nyree 34 and other June newbies, I must have deleted my first e-mail to you when I put the weight chart in. Anyway, I had surgery on June 22nd and have about the same amount of weight to lose. I am having no trouble eating. In fact I feel like I am eating too much especially after I get home from work..but I am working on it! Your 45 minute walks a day have inspired me. I've been walking about 20 minutes but just got back from a 30 minute walk at a faster pace. I'd love to stay in touch with you and others who started around the same time. Best regards, Grateful in Seattle
