Does anyone ever wake up thirsty post op
marmello posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Im 6 months post and on occasion will wake up so thirsty that i have to run to get a drink of water. Does anyone else have that happen? I was in and out of the hospital after surgery for dehydration but i know im drinking a lot now, at least i think i am -
Popsicles lol but sugar free ones. I had got to a point where I hated water and sick of crystal light. But I loved Popsicles.

I think winter months are the hardest to lose weight with or without the sleeve. It's cold dark and depressing. Have u tried joining a gym? I find if I make myself go a few days a week I feel a little better. I've been at a stall for awhile and trying to get back to basics, adding protein shakes and lowering my food intake. Good luck, they weren't kidding when they said it's not the easy way out

second thoughts about the surgery :(
marmello replied to crazystacy81's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I think everyone freaks out before surgery. You think of all the bad things that can happen. Try and concentrate on all the good thats coming out of it. I dont regret my sleeve for 1 second. At first it was hard and i had some doubts about did i do the right thing but yes i did. Youll b ok try and think positive -

Post Surgery Not Eating/Drinking Enough
marmello replied to VIckyLSteele's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was.in.and out of the hospital too with dehydration. Even now 6months post op i have to force myself to drink. Before surgery i used to drink a ton of water but now nothing appeals to me. The unjury powder is excellent to add in your drinks. Apple juice seemed to b the only thing i liked so i added it to that. Good luck and dont forget to talk to your nutritionist, they usually have good ideas -

Does anyone ever wake up thirsty post op
marmello replied to marmello's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Yes, this morning i woke up and my mouth was like sand paper. Its horrible -
Pain for everyone is different. I had little pain, didnt need any pain meds but i had a lot of nausea. I always had a sensitive stomach so i expected it. Just stay on top of your pain. If u need pain medication dont wait until the pain is horrible, try to catch it early and you'll b ok. Good luck

No theyre small pills. U can get them anywhere they sell vitamins.

I had the same problem, i started taking vitamin b complex with the biotin and multivitamins and omg what a difference. Hair loss went back to normal. Still lose some but i always did. U gotta try
-
Fear is normal. I was sleeved in april and was petrified. I was so nervous and on bridge of a panic attack. But it was ok. After surgery your going to have good and bad days but when they say it gets easier, trust me it does. Just relax and have faith everything will be ok. In a few months your gonna be thrilled u went thru with it. Good luck everyone

Im almost 6 months post op and can chug some. Not nearly like i used to . Never with meals. I can get away with a couple small sips during a meal but thats it. -
I have my date :-) Nov 2014
marmello replied to Mrs-SJ's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
About 3-4months out i started losing hair fast. Ask your dr about taking biotin and vit b complex. I took biotin alone and it did nothing. But together stopped my hair loss. When they say eat protein, theyre not playing. Get your protein and water in. It makes a big difference. Good luck and stay positive. There will be good and bad days. -
6 Month Post Surgery Question
marmello replied to lisi287's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Im almost 6 months post op and feel the same way. Im down 58-60 depending on the day and been there for a few weeks. Im going back to basics, starting slimfast diet for a few days in hopes to restart things. I was losing hair bad too, i was taking biotin but still losing, my surgeon told me to start vit b complex and its made a huge difference. Not losing anymore than normal hair.
