The scars will minimize greatly over time. I'm only one month out and u can barely see my scars except where the drain was removed and even that has changed but its not gone yet. My doc recommends Maderma I believe he said..not sure of the spelling.

Hey AA fam, just checking in. Now 4 and 1/2 weeks out. No longer having any pain at all. Went back to work on week 3 which was a week after My drain was removed. Lost 30 lbs since surgery and it finally feels good to move again....I hate bed rest! Lost some of the fullness in my boobs but still in a larger cup and lost some extra roundness in the butt but I'm faithful to my new nickname "squat monster" so I expect to still be plump in all the right places. Now my final worry, maybe one of u sistas can help me with, with our hair, do we thin more or have bald spots? Any experiences yet? My girlfriend said her hair grew more... I just need the trinity in tact, boobs, butt and hair...lol!! I do have the Biotin pills already...

My goodness, I hear u, I've been on a stall for about a week now too. I lost 30 so far so I'm not rushing, as long as it happens. The only thing that's weird is I never ate while I was out now I'm constantly trying to eat. Its just weird..

I know we have stalls but I think I'm broken...or just impatient...IDK!

Ok, I'm not being irrational...I'm worried. I was one of the dummies for lack of a better term that tried to eat a chicken nugget when I had no other food to eat and that was at 2 weeks out. I was also the one that would try to force Protein so that I don't get sick from the lack of and so that I wouldn't loose my hair so easily. I am also the one that got a hernia repair and sleeve at the same time, then had a horrible coughing spell 2 nights in a row that put me in major pain. I'm the one that thought I could just get my fill of protein with food and blah to the shakes....smh, boy was I wrong!!! I was also the one that had a JP Drain for 2 weeks when it should have been removed in 1 week. The drainage colors changed from the normal blood and straw yellow color to a green then brown color in the 2nd week. Basically, I did many things wrong, I don't need you to tell me that. I've told my doctor almost everything but I want to call and ask for him to look at the sleeve and make sure I haven't blocked it or ruptured it because I feel heavy all over again. Like I really messed something up... Also, when I told him what i was drinking since the Water wasn't easy to go in....he said STOP THAT, those drinks have too much sugar. I wonder if it's sticking to me already. I've stopped as instructed. Anyone know how sensitive the sleeve is? It's even sensitive to the touch. Is it a normal stall and I'm just being overly worried? I'm 1 month out, please help if you can either relate or if you're more than 2 months out. Thanks

I'm hoping it is just a stall, I can handle that...I was really messing up but I'm being good now. I Learned my lesson quick, this is not a game!! I learn more every day, Im learning to respect the sleeve! Lol -
Nice!

I'm doing well so far and cannot believe I got my period this week and that's 2 in a row!!! That hasn't happened for me in years! I can't believe I actually got it. Its been 8 months since the last and 11 months before the previous. I hope this is good things to come!!!! Whhooooohooo!!!!

Hey lady! I'm gettin better every day but thank goodness I'm over the dreaded first 2 wks! I'm still working on gettin my protein and water Also. I'm just happy to not be in pain. I'm finally gettin a groove. How u been doin?
-
I just wanna say for all those goin in soon, don't worry! At all! We get worried because we kno so much and we researched and know the risks and all that's good but all the complications you hear of have such a small percentage if happening to u. Allow yourself to adapt the soldier mentality and get thru the hard part which is by far the first 1-3 weeks and after those lil battles are conquered, then u realize you won the war and your fear will only slow your healing...it causes anxiety. It's gets so much better every day!! Remeber that on day #2 and #4...lol Stay positive all, you will be fine! Its not easy but it's doable and you're ready!!! Best of luck!

Ahhh 3 wks was a catch 22. It was when I began to feel better and slightly normal again but I hit my stall then too at 27 lbs, the scale didn't move that whole week and now at 4 weeks tmrw I'm down 30. I just got clearance for workouts yesterday at my 1 month post op appt. Before then just walking. But still have the restriction of no lifting over 20lbs. Good luck, every day gets better...thank goodness...the first two weeks should earn us a medal!
-
Congrats on your date! Good luck to u. How long do u plan on waiting before you try for baby? Either way keep us posted. I'm only 1 month post op and I'm trying so hard to wait for at least a year but any longer and I may change my mind....lol.

I just cant seem to make it all work. I must remember my vitamins!! I finally got something to put them in so I can carry them with me for the days I'm gone the entire day. Haven't taken the Citricals, even the petites turn me off due to the size. I try to get in my Protein but I may only get 30-40, could this be what's causing my dizzy spells and nausea? For my Water, I can barely get in 30oz. Water is hard to go down and seems to only go down with a huge air bubble accompanying it. Juices go down fine and shakes too but at 3 weeks out, should I already be expecting to meet the daily requirements or just keep trying? I have a friend who calls her sleeve "Rockstar" because she never has any sickness or complications and she forgets to eat for days(she claims 4 at the most), she eats whatever she wants, whenever she wants, she drinks alcohol like a fish but no water at all, even smokes, never ever took Vitamins and finally got pregnant 2 times after trying for 14 years and at 6 years out, I want to admire her since she still loses weight but now she can do it on demand and looks great but I want to do mine the healthy way, I just cant seem to meet these numbers... I already had a hard time eating which is why I thought this surgery would be perfect because I can eat less but it's like I have to eat so much during a day just to lose weight.....and I just cant force feed myself that way. 1 or 2 small meals a day works just fine for me....or a pill that allows me not to eat at all...I always feel so fat and heavy after I eat anything. So if I can only force one...which is more important, vitamins, water or protein??
