I won't miss pretending to be OK and confident about myself regardless of my weight... Cracking fat people jokes about myself just to ease the anxieties of friends and strangers... Pretending to be strong and sarcastic, when I really feel terrible about my size and don't think there is anything funny about it...

Haha- were been together for 6 years' date=' live together too- we are pretty honest with each other... I honestly was shocked at first but truly didn't care. He sees me at my best and worst, and loves me just the same either way-- so no, not a jerk

My reason for getting the surgery to begin with will also be my reward when I reach goal: I hope to try to get pregnant! I'll wait until I've maintained my goal weight for over a year, but then I can't wait! I'm getting baby fever already

My goal was set by my nutritionist based on realistic expectations... Basically saying I will likely loose ~70% of my excess weight... This goal was not nearly as low as I would like it to be, but she agrees I should be able to get to 175lbs, which will be goal #1 for me. After that I'm going to push myself to my final goal of 150lbs!

I'm thinking new tattoo, a nice trip, lots of shopping, etc.! Depending on what my body looks like when I get there (how much extra skin) I'll definitely consider plastics... That bring said, my surgeon thinks that due to my relatively young age my skin should shrink back up! A boob job is definitely in the future if my girls disappear

Milk or Water?

I've green taking chewable Vitamins since day 1.

To start, my name is Megan, and there is a lottery game in MA called Megabucks-- growing up my mom called me Megabuck as a nickname because she felt like she won the lottery with me 886 stands for my birth month/ year- born in August 1986!

I too have absolutely no appetite whatsoever! It's so bizarre to think that I've gone nearly 3 weeks on just liquids and have been fine with that! My surgery date was 10/15, weight was 259lbs on day of surgery... Before pre-op diet I was at least 276lbs (had been more but don't remember exactly how much)... Now I am down to 240lbs for a grand loss of 36lbs! I've definitely hit a plateau however, as I have stayed the same weight for almost a week (which is so strange considering how little I'm taking in- just liquids and Protein shakes!!)... It like goes against science to not be loosing weight!!! Oh well... I'm sure it will happen soon, I still want to loose another 90lbs

Me too! It makes me excited to think about it! Let's all stay in touch over the next year!

UPDATE: my boyfriend literally made me stay in bed all day today, I only got up to go to bathroom. I know it's not good to not move around, but I figure I'm not going to get a blood clot in just 1 day. He also made me stay ahead of the pain, and had me take roxicet even when I was feeling OK... Now- moving around the house I'm essentially pain free!!! I'm hoping it stays that way I may have just overdone myself at the gym the past few days... Thanks for all the well wishes!

Did it hurt all the time? Or only with movement?

Sounds good- ill definitely try that!

I'll say it again- I am so relieved it's not just me! If (temporarily) smelling bad is the price for losing weight, I'll take it!!!
