Hi. I am Denice Downs. I have been overweight as long as I can remember. I have tried ever diet there is. I would lose only to gain it all back plus some. I have Venous reflux in my right leg and have had problems with venous ulcers. My right leg stays swollen really bad all the time. Doctors said I need to get the weight off. So I decided to have a sleeve done. It was the best decision I have ever made, health wise. I wish I had done it years ago.
I was scared as far as having this surgery done. I was afraid of the pain. I absolutely had NO pain. After the surgery I kept thinking, "Did they really remove most of my stomach?" When they said they would make me walk an hour after surgery I was like " Yeah, I see that happening!" But, I did. The anesthesia made me feel bad, but as far as anything else, I could not tell I had had surgery!! I took no pain medicine after recovery, nor have I had any since that day. Dec. 22 will be exactly 2 months since my surgery. As of today, I have lost 46 pounds!! I am so excited. I feel great, and the slimmer me is getting here!!
