So I'm 6 days post op everything is ok but I wondering why I have six incisions instead of the usual five. Prolly should have asked my surgeon...it never occurred to me. Anyone else has six incisions and know why?

Not really... I tolerated them. All three bites I was able to take. However I'm starting to realize that it wasn't so much that I wanted the eggs, just the flavor and the salt...am I weird?

I have absolutely no appetite today. I don't want my protein shake or my yogurt and certainly don't want any soup broth. I have bend munching and sucking on ice cubes all day. I'm kinda worried...

I agree with JerseyGirl. Everyone is differnet. I had my surgery last Thursday in Florida and returned to my hotel on Saturday with no need for pain meds. I arrived home (Grand Cayman) last night and I am back to work this morning. I work for one of the largest tour companies on island im the general manager so I understand your concern on being mentally strssed. Im doing ok so far, no pain no discomfort and im still managing to keep sipping on my protein shake and water. Good Luck!!

So my two week stay in lovely Florida has come to an end. I had an awesome time and will definitely be returning. Thanks to the bariatric staff at Florida a Medical Center for giving me my life back. I'll take the reigns from here. Back to kids, work, school, and my personal and social life...back to stress. I can do this! My family and friends are all so excited I'm coming home...so am I. The friends I made here are sad to see me go, but they know this party kitten will be back . THE WEIGHT IS OVER...my life begins...again.

I have had this feeling since 2 days post op. I really haven't told my dr directly, but the nurses say it's gas. We'll this is the most painful gas ever. It hits n moves for a space of 7 seconds....it does feel like it could be gas, but a gas ball? Should I call the dr or try a home remedy?

Just saw my Dr. I asked him many questions, one being how soon will I be able to engage in sexual activity. He smiled... He suggested not to "over do" it and to be very careful with possibly tearing out my staples. And to listen to my body and pain levels. "Ms. Powery, I suggest your partner does all the work " (I giggled in my head). #iLoveMyDr #FeelinSexyAfterSix

I had the same feeling 5 days post. Be careful though I have now realized that it's not so much the quantity of food I wanted...it was the taste. Good luck! LOL @ "did he cut of enough?"

No...I was being rebellious. I'm doing fine with my Protein shakes and Water. Just couldn't fight the taste in my mouth.

Hey there. I'm six days post with six incisions. Not a pro on why yours hurt so much, but I do think everyone's pain will differ. My pain was bearable on my third day. I left the hospital after two days and haven't used pain meds since. Your theory sounds highly plausible. It wouldn't be a good idea to just sit around though...the more you walk around the more your body should get used to your new cuts. Good luck
