Your body gets out of wack from the anesthesia and the shock to your system. Next month you should be right as rain

let me clarify that is not 35lbs in a month. 35lbs in 1 month for me would be way more than I am expected to lose in a month since my total weight loss needed is 87lbs. My doctor expects me to lose 10lbs in October' date=' November and December then 5lbs each month thereafter until I get under 130. But let me post my weights with dates: August 1st start of program HW 207 September 23 surgery weight 189 CW 172 When anyone loses 30lbs in a month it is huge. I am just happy with each pound I lose. I can't compare myself to others.[/quote']Sorry for the misunderstanding. I understand what you are saying now.

Lol I thought it was good but I saw someone post that they were a slow loser and she lost 35 lbs so I was doubting myself lol. Thanks for the reality check

My surgery was 9/25. What's the standard amount of weight loss. I've lost 33 lbs so far. Just curious if I need to do more.

Maybe you can talk to your dr or nutritionist and they can advise you. Hang in there

I am 5 weeks out. I know you feel uneasy now but as long as you follow the liquids and the purée protocol you will be fine
-
4week follow up- starting weight 296' date=' now 265. I'm getting really bored with food I'm eating. Soup goes down much easier but i want something different but soft foods kinda bothers me.[/quote']I was 296 pre-surgery, day before surgery 286 current weight 260. I do really soft scrambled eggs, dark chicken covered in fat free gravy. I have problems getting it down too sometimes but I find that if you sit straight up or stand and take a bite rest, take a bite and so on, it is a lot easier. Good Luck!!

Forgive me because I am relatively new. What are NSVs?

I started to crush on the beginning but I have some extended release meds. Just be careful. My dr adjusted my doses to accommodate. Also gave me prescriptions that are capsules instead of pills. I open the capsules and swallow the contents. The others I just cut in half and I'm ok.

They all apologized but that doesn't make it fair. Wa! Wa! Lol. STAY AWAY FROM THE Peanut Butter CUPS!!!!

Did you call the dr? What happened?

Am ending week 4. On average I am losing about 6 1/2 a week. I know it's a process but am I doing ok? Or should I be losing more. Instead of my name being 2nd Chance, I should name myself impatient lol

2nd chance' date=' beach lover and alwayshungry, thank you so much! Yes I needed some tough love! I AM a sugar addict!! One little bit sends me over the edge. Alwayshungry, I would love to know some of the things you know I have lost 69 pounds in almost 5 months but I have not conquered this addiction. So disheartening.[/quote']Thankfully that's why we went through the trouble of getting the sleeve. We are all addicts. You can get through this. Get an emergency kit to keep in the house for next time
-
I keep sugar free choc pudding and fat free readiwhip in the house. Just what I need to feel decadent

Get some hard candies to suck on. Go sit outside for a minute and take a deep breath. You can do it. It only takes 5 min to break the mind set.

Eating too fast and drinking too soon. It should go a Away by itself but you should call your dr just to be safe
-
It sounds like dumping. You should call your doctor.
Night Binging
in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

I am finding myself binging a night like I used to. I guess I have a lot on my mind these days and obsessed with worrying about losing weight. Anyone have any suggestions?
