  1. Congrats!!! I'm hoping to get down to 206.
  2. Sure! I had the Gastric Sleeve. I also had a number of minor post-op complications (low blood pressure, gas, low kidney function and nausea). Pre-op: 468 (6/2013) Day of Surgery: 464 (9/24/2013) Post-op: 362 (9/21/2013) I think I may have lost muscle weight in the process.
  3. On November 24th, I will officially be 8-weeks post-op and in stage 4. As of the 19th, I was down 102 pounds. Initially I thought this was good, however now I'm thinking I may have dropped some muscle weight.
  4. I was sleeved on September 24th, and I have noticed my urine was dark and had an odor to it, but though it to be typical of the recovery process. At 3 weeks post op, I saw my primary care doctor. At that visit he collected a blood sample to run a lab work up. Yesterday, two weeks later and at 5 weeks post op, my doctor told me that my fluids were low and my kidneys were functioning at less than 50%. He is now stressing me to prioritize the 64 oz of Water intake over the 60 grams of Protein, daily. Needless to say he is threatening me with a shunt implant and daily IV's to bring my Fluid levels up.
  5. I was sleeved on September 24th, and simple activities continue to deplete my energy. Honestly, I am unable to sleep through the night. I usually sleep for two-to-three hours at a time, then two hours of being up, then fatigue and exhaustion set in again. Walking!?! I have attempted to go outside and walk around a bit, in my neighborhood; however, there are times that I feel dizzy and faint after just two minutes. I am fearful of going far from home and falling out. Before reading this thread I thought maybe I had become hypoglycemic or had developed a blood clot; but it does seem as if the low energy is a part of the long term healing process.
