woo woo replied to Megan Renee Behnke's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's the DS. I believe bariatric pal has some forums dedicated to it. -
The dumbest diet you tried?
woo woo replied to VDB's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I didn't mention it because it worked so well. Honestly I was on it, off and on, for years from age 15 to 22 (until they took it off the market) and loved it. -

Does anyone remember the Meal Replacement product that was like a large wafer sandwich cookie? They came in a box and were individually wrapped in packs of 2... What was the name?? I can't remember. -
Eating on a road trip -- looking for suggestions.

Pack food to bring with you. You can also get jerky or nuts at a gas station in a pinch. -
CIGNA really screwed up this time.....
woo woo replied to losinit512's topic in Insurance & Financing
Go through with the written appeal process. I did with cigna after I was denied due to an error on cigna's part and was approved in a month or so after. -

Suggest you go see your doc. Reflux is not something to play with. -
Gave them away to family members.

I'm with miss mac, don't lie but there's no reason you have to volunteer everything, especially the past relationship and eating disorders. That's your business. ETA: My point being that you can (if you want) relay the fact that you had surgery without disclosing all that other painful stuff.

@@Idalola have you gotten layers to accommodate your curly hair? If you get the right cut it won't add weight to your face when curly. You can also use a wand type curling Iron to spot curl which will tame the curl too. Good luck tomorrow!

Post-op wedding dress issues- need advice!
woo woo replied to jordantaylor's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I would not be surprised if you are down 90 to 100 lbs by October. So at say 220 you should be in range with the 20 since it does run a size small. Enjoy!! -

Cabbage Soup diet tied with Quick Weight Loss centers which the first stage of the diet calls for beef only for the first week. That's as much beef as you want but nothing else for a week. -
Need Advice Please Read !
woo woo replied to Lily_0725's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I have a different take on it, in that if you have this opportunity to get healthy while still young and not experience your 20s etc as an obese person I think you should grab it with both hands. Think about the reasons that you made your decision in the first place and YOU decide what is best for you. -
Any suggestions, ladies especially....

Ask your doc for tramadol. -
They have support groups as well as clothing swaps. I have not participated but I hear they are good and well attended. I know that they bring a psychologist to speak on different relevant topics each month, along with nutrition/exercise experts and info. I would have liked to have tried the swap! I'm not aware of any special events, but, I might not know about them since I haven't been going to meetings. There are many Nicholson Clinic patients on this board, maybe others will jump in as well.

Dr Kim has some issues, lawsuits etc. One patient lost his legs due to a mistake during surgery by another surgeon from Kim's office (substituted without patient's knowledge). I happen to believe that he has some marketing people on these boards occasionally posing as patients but I cannot prove that. I used Nicholson, my procedure and recovery was textbook no issues whatsoever. 9 months out currently. I also met with Roshack, he did my most recent follow up appointment and he seems great and very knowledgeable as well. Nicholson is an extremely skilled surgeon and also happens to be a very nice and friendly person.

GS Girl, LB Boyfriend Advice?
woo woo replied to theother_onefoot's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
You say you don't want relationship advice, so my advice to you is to worry about yourself and your goals and leave him to worry about his. You made your wishes known to him and offered advice. At this point it is now just going to be nagging if you keep on about it. Stop trying to control him. Good luck! -
You will 100% start getting noticed as soon as you start feeling better/more confident. Give it a couple months to kick in. Meantime follow your plan, get exercise in. You're gonna look and feel fabulous before you know it!!

Were any of you able to deduct the cost of skin removal/arm lift/lbl from your taxes?
woo woo replied to JerseyCityGal's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
@@JerseyCityGal no offense, seriously, but you are acting like an ass. Give it a rest already. -
I think that is too much. At that point I could only eat a few shrimp, maybe 4 or 5 over about 30 minutes. In fact I can't eat 10 shrimp now, actually. I'm almost 9 months out. Is the chicken soft/shredded?

You cannot compare your loss rates to someone with much more to lose, i.e. many people on this site. I think you are doing well and making progress. How do you feel? -
