Any Cleveland Ohio Pre sleevers?
woo woo replied to miamax13's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yep. I'm in the last month of the 3 month waiting period for my insurance. No date yet. Hoping for early March. -
post surgery and relationships.

You have obviously never lived in a shitty, cold climate if you think that is funny. -
So, if I am reading correctly, you are just a couple pounds till your lowest weight since 7th grade!!! How wonderful, congrats!! WOOO HOOO :)

Maybe call and speak with the insurance coordinator at your bariatric center? They can probably offer advice or even take some sort of action to contact the PCP doctor's office. I don't see why you can't transfer your records thus far to another doc and then have your last visit and get the letter from the new doc. Good luck, I'm sure you will be able to work it out one way or another!

Do we restrict calories forever?
woo woo replied to sarahgirrl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That 1500 calorie range is too high for many formerly obese women and can cause a gain in the long run. We are different. -
Started the journey, came to the 1st fork in the road. Left for the truth, right for the discretion

The concern for me is becoming a WLS poster child -- I don't want that to be the first thing people think of when they see me. I also am not crazy about the idea of others gossiping about me when I am not around. I am a pretty private person though. -
At the very start and feeling VERY depressed, bad about myself etc
woo woo replied to Wires's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I am very glad to hear it, once you see your doc you will start feeling better very soon. In the meantime, here is a good thread of before and after pics that you might enjoy: http://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/217939-i-want-to-see-before-after-pics/ -

woo woo replied to Wires's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Wires, First and foremost I think that if you have not done so already, it's very important that you reach out for help with your depression. This is VERY treatable and you can speak with your primary doctor, or you can reach out to a psychiatrist for help. As far as your weight goes, there is hope!! That is very treatable too and you are in the right place to learn more about weight loss surgery and what it can do for you. If you are looking for some hope/inspiration, search for before and after threads on there, there are many where members have posted before and after pics that are wonderful and will make you feel like it's really possible. Best of luck to you and please call your doctor! -
I think of it as look at how many years you will have to enjoy your healthy and active body! Best of luck to you and wishing you all the best :) Oh, and I have no idea but if I had to guess, I'd say that your chances of getting out of this with minimal skin issues are very good at 18!

This is Starting to Feel Real-PreSurgery Jitters?
woo woo replied to TheWigster's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I tried two of the muscle milk flavors (choc & vanilla) and both made me nausiated for an hour after. Something in them didn't agree. But I am loving the AES carb control ready to drink in chocolate fudge. Available at grocery stores and target, walgreen's etc. Just ordered the Chicke Protein coffee mix, have high hopes for it but we shall see. ETA: I went through the constant obsession/sleepless period a couple months ago. Now I am just kind of waiting until it's time to submit to insurance and have calmed down a bit. I still have 2 more nut appts (1 this week). -
It may just be your process, but it also may be that you are not ready yet. Only you know the answer, but it's worth really taking a long hard look if you are truly unsure or not ready. Then again, it could just be that it's not really "real" to you yet. In which case I think that's a pretty common feeling. Just my thoughts, good luck to you whatever you decide!!

Big difference already, way to go! :)

Have you asked your doc if something different might not cause the dizziness? If not it's worth a shot. Klonipin is much longer lasting than xanax (like 6+ hrs) and doesn't give you any kind of buzz or "feeling" at all like xanax and some of the other benzos do (other than the calmness). Just a thought. Hope you feel better soon.
-
I would ask for a benzo (klonipin, xanax etc) if you are really struggling during this period. There is no need to sit there and suffer. I know exactly how you feel and it's really a terrible, awful feeling!

His loss! I think you look adorable and too cute to stay home. Is there a friend nearby that you could make plans with tonight? Congrats on your progress so far!

Dr. Ariel Ortiz- Does it HAVE to be Enspira?!?
woo woo replied to KittyChick's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
They also carry EAS at places like Target and Walgreens or CVS. I like the low carb one, it's very tasty. -
Good luck to you!! :)

The burn at the throat could be acid reflux. Did your doctor prescribe a PPI for stomach acids? If not you might want to ask for one. Congrats on your surgery!

I am unaproachable now?
woo woo replied to soocalchic's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just wanted to say congrats too! What an exciting development -
I think it's very much expected that online daters are seeing more than just one person during the early dates. I think that after 5 dates or so it's still more than ok but I would consider being upfront about it to everyone involved just to avoid any hurt feelings anywhere. Oh and make sure you have fun!!
