You should be taking something everyday for heartburn/acid. If your doc didn't give you anything I would suggest calling and asking for a prescription.

Before & after Tummy Tuck
woo woo replied to TinyMamiOf3kids's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Hmm I can't see anything... -
Prices in Dallas are very low and the surgeons are very well-regarded. Look into Dr. Nicholson or Dr. Kim and there are probably a couple others as well in Dallas. That being said, if your husband is on board with paying for your local doc, I might just go with that for the convenience. Otherwise Dallas, or also FL and LA have pricing that is much lower than the self-pay prices up north. I have also heard good things about Dr. Umbach in Las Vegas as well.

Denied- Should I be calling my Insurance Co?
woo woo replied to KSTUZ's topic in Insurance & Financing
Yes, you can call them anytime you feel like it to see if anything has been updated on your file. I actually was able to find out that my appeal went through and was approved like 3 weeks before they got around to sending out a letter. -
My sister was on it 2 weeks and has been completely quit for 4 years. She was a very long time smoker before that. She quit taking it after the 2 weeks because she felt the nicotine was out of her system and didn't crave cigarettes anymore, and it was making her feel moody. I myself quit a year ago and it has been so wonderful to be free! Good luck and it's totally worth it.

These were all the rage 10 or 12 years ago. Did nothing for me and very large and obtrusive. Mine went into the trash.

I also think having milk with cereal would violate the no liquids with food rule.

I think that chemistry thing is bs, to me that just means they just weren't that into you. Which is fine but they lay this chemistry BS on us like we are somehow lacking something. Not the case.

Well, they are medical photos after all ... I think it makes more sense to show it all. Just my opinion. -
Can you elaborate on this? I am curious as to what the harm is/would be.

Miserable - Relationship Sucks
woo woo replied to HaddocksEyes's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I think this is a tough situation. The fact is that you can't control his life to that degree. It's not fair and it doesn't work anyway. You have to accept him being a smoker until he is ready to quit. That's really it. You don't have to like it, and you have made him aware of your feelings on the matter. Unless this is just a symptom of something else wrong with the relationship, I think you need to apologize to him and move on. I also wonder how you would feel if he "went off" on you about your eating in a similar manner. Probably not good. I am married to a smoker too (I am a former smoker) and it's hard to watch but when you love someone you love the whole person as they are, for who they are and not how you would want them to be. I am sure you know this. Is there any chance that this is really about something between you two other than smoking? -
Miserable..3 weeks post op..Messing up! HELP!
woo woo replied to jewelski's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
This is very dangerous. Please stick to your post op plan. You are at risk of developing of leak with this behavior. Do you have a local doctor set up for your follow up care? What part of Ohio are you in? -
Totally not about weight loss but looking for help......
woo woo replied to scarlet333's topic in The Lounge
I would be looking to your husband for answers on this one. It sounds like he must have offered to buy the tv for her. The question is whether hubby understands your pov on this issue. He comes from spenders and you come from savers. These two types of money types can clash at times, but can also be complementary as well to temper the extremes of the other. -

I feel like if you call in to the office someone there can most likely give you the information you need. Good luck -

I'm so glad you decided to go to the hospital. Please take care and let us know how you are doing!! -
Congrats and I think that you should def get with your surgery center and come up with a plan for after the birth. That way everything is all mapped out for you and you can pick back up with it as soon as possible after the baby comes. Edit: I noticed that you are near the end of your diet visits. Maybe what you can do is finish out your required visits so that you can go for approval. As an example: I finished my visits/requirements in February and was just approved for the second time (moved to a new city). So for me it's been 5 months already since I was in the supervised diet stage and my approval is good for surgery through October.

Please help-losing weight before surgery
woo woo replied to krazyglue12's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
It seems like most of the people I've read on this site are in the 35-50 bmi range at the time of the surgery. That is extremely non-scientific, just what I have observed. Others may correct me on this. Regarding oatmeal -- I actually am also starving after oatmeal for Breakfast myself. So much so that I switched to greek yogurt because of it. I would be looking for a snack around 10am everytime with oatmeal. My suggestion is to try something else for breakfast and see how you feel. Like I said, the greek yogurt works for me. High Protein and non-carby. -
Please help-losing weight before surgery
woo woo replied to krazyglue12's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I agree do not give up! If you have any "naughty" habits right now such as sugary sodas/drinks or fast food for example, just giving those up alone will really boost your weight loss right away with minimal effort. Just a tip. Good luck to you
