He def had the sleeve, I've seen it written in a couple of different articles. He talked about how his doc specifically said the sleeve would be best for him considering his profession as a chef and the need to be able to eat or taste anything.
-
Oh I forgot to add they will also offer you a bedtime snack and something to drink too, in case you are worried.

Hey! It's not that bad. I wrote out a description of it on another thread, here it is. I just cut and pasted it here: For those that are wondering what it's like for the sleep study; You go to a special sleep study place in the evening, where they have hotel-like bedrooms with tv, bathroom etc. At your normal bedtime the technician will come in and connect about 20 or more electrodes to your head, face and body. Then you will get into bed and go to sleep. The technician will monitor you from another room while you sleep. At some point they might come in and ask you to try wearing a cpap if it seems obvious that you are having apnea. The tech will wake you around 6am, come in and pull off all the electrodes and then you are free to go. The data from the study will be looked at by the doctor and later you will go to your doc to get the results. It's not great but not that bad. Bear in mind that you will have to wash your hair the following morning because of the goo they use to put the electrodes on your head.

I am looking forward to wearing white jeans again and looking nice in them. The other thing is sleeping soundly, no apnea. Also, I have a vague memory of being a cute girl once upon a time. I'd like to see if I still am. :P

@@KrystalVsg I was curious as to what your funeral dinner choice is for tonight? If you want to share.

Yay for Dallas (and nearby ) OK well one week from tomorrow then. How are we all feeling? Myself I'm ready to get it over with already I think.
-
Cute. If you are worried about the length maybe you can wear with some opaque tights to tone down the shortness. I like the neckline on you. I would push the sleeves up to your elbows.

@@KrystalVsg where in Texas are you? I'm from Dallas.

6 months out and feeling great

Wow what a difference. Wonderful! -
Not feeling too nervous yet but I am also out of town on a very long (5+ weeks) business trip so I think once I get back home (end of next week) the nerves will kick in. The shakes/bars are starting to get to me though. Sick of the Protein taste. I don't really feel like I am losing much of anything. Maybe a couple pounds. Megan I am guessing you are going to Mexico? Is anyone going with or you are going on your own? Either way sounds like an adventure for sure!!

Anyone had WLS that is an EXTREMELY High Risk patient?
woo woo replied to Katcloudshepherd's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
What about the doctor in Houston that does the surgeries on My 600 lb life? Does anyone remember his name? It seems like he takes on some very high risk surgeries. OK I googled it, here is his facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Dr-Younan-Nowzaradan-MD-FACS/152477131443253 If you haven't seen the show he seems very good and also very kind as well. Best of luck, I really hope you can get this surgery for your husband -
Less than 40 lbs overweight considering sleeve

Have you been treated successfully for the eating disorder? I think the sleeve can be a trigger in some cases. -

It's right next to the metamucil. It is fiber therapy. -
I am trying to figure out if you are worried because everyone will know about your surgery, or if you are worried because you feel like you are not "really" a success. If you define your concern maybe the answer will be easier to come by. Either way, I think it must be very nice to have been asked!

Unjury & isopure..ready, set, go!
woo woo replied to mistymc's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I am another one that doesn't care for the premier at all. I have only tried the chocolate. It is very, very, very thick. That being said it is quite popular, so there's a good chance that you would like it. Good luck! -
Am I a canidate I have two co-morbiditie
woo woo replied to belindaray's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It is something that has to be ordered by a doctor. I had mine before I was considering surgery and it was ordered by my ENT doctor (ear nose throat). You can also ask your primary doctor about it. Your bariatric doc will probably set you up for testing though. -
I think I must be literally the only person on earth that doesn't like the premier shakes. I tried once but it was too thick for me. I do like the EAS which taste really good. I've been using the GNC Lean Shakes in strawberry, which are really thin. 25 grams Protein, 170 cals. Is that 7 days with only shakes, no food at all?

Can You Eat Salad, Vegetables And Fruits With The Gastric Sleeve?
woo woo replied to Jesusislove's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am curious as to why they told you would not qualify for rny based on weight? I have heard of people at all different weights getting rny. -
I am taking 5 days off (desk job also but from home). Would you have the option to leave early if you ended up feeling overtired? If so, I'd go for it and try to get back out there after the one week off. 6 weeks to return to a seated, desk job seems extremely excessive to me, but everyone's different.

I'm not sure about the high cholesterol. Def the high blood pressure qualifies. Have you ever been tested for sleep apnea? -
Well, just back from EGD. It was super easy, no big deal at all. The doc said my reflux is pretty bad. Wondering what my bariatric doc is gonna say about it. I feel strongly that it is very much weight related, as I have gained some weight in the past year and it has really increased. Oh well, onward! @@wunnabesexy I feel like I'll eventually want to tell more people but right now I'm keeping it low key, spouse and parents only (all very supportive!).
