Talk to me about Fitbit Flex!

I love my fitbit flex and find myself walking around the yard or house trying to meet my step goal before bed! Great motivator for sure. It is nice to have friends as it motivates me even a bit more!

    Sleep positions

However you can tolerate it. I was one of the unlucky ones who needed a recliner for the first several nights... So glad you are feeling so well! Try a few positions and sleep in whatever one feels comfy. Many use pillows behind their back while on their side to prop themselves up. Have a great night!

    protein bars

Search the forums for quest bars. I love them, others do not. I buy mine on sale at GNC or Amazon. I love the berry one for a meal and I get one of the sweeter ones when my sweet tooth acts up. Double choc chunk, cookie dough, cookies and cream and white choc raspberry, to name a few. High protein, high fiber and low sugar. Yum!

    Post op medications (crushed meds)

I was never told to crush them up. I did have liquid lortab for post op, but the rest is just swallowed. I even checked and was told that if I could tolerate them whole. It was ok. Not suggesting anyone do that without first asking your medical professionals...
  11. Wishing you an Uneventful and easy surgery!

    Disc Golf?

I would go and enjoy the friends and the walk and not try to "drive" it much. Do some putting... That twisting motion might be a bit much. Have fun!

    Post op Thrush. Probiotics? Help.

I had the liquid nystatin too. I had to rinse and spit. It cleared up nicely. Tasted nasty...

    tortilla.?

A flour tortilla was the one and so far, the only thing that really bothered me. It is amazing how we are all so different in what we can tolerate...
  15. Mine hurt about that long, but never that bad consistently. I'd have it checked again.

    Tomm..

Walking is very important! It will help move the gas. Also a heating pad can ease the discomfort. It was pass, try to be patient. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Surgeon has only done 26 sleeves

I was nervous and selected a bariatric center of excellence. May be a non-issue, but it is something to think about. Best of luck to you!

Nov 2013 Sleevers Progress So Far...

I'm a slow loser, but as long as I'm losing, I'm OK. Started at 268, sleeved at 255, now at 219. Sleeved on 11-13. I feel great! New clothes, better attitude and no meds anymore. As long as the weight is going down and not up, I'm delighted!
  22. Glad you are well! Walk and sip, walk and sip... Take care

    I'm in! CW- 217 GW- 207
  24. Jurnee- My surgeon required a family visit to discuss the surgery. Risks, benefits and home care immediately after. You may want to determine if your surgeon requires such a visit as well. Mine occurred the week before surgery... Good luck to you
  25. I am blessed. I told folks and received nothing but support. I really never hesitated... It is truly a personal decision.
