I am 2 wks post op and I was talking about wanting to be a size 6 or in the 130's to my sister in law. She tells me that is too small for me and don't think I would look good. It just pissed me off. I'm 5'2" and currently 223. I'm pretty sure this would be an ok size for me. I'm sure she wouldn't like it if I told her her sz 4x is too big! -
It will probably happen again after too. I started a week early and then 5 days after my surgery. I have an IUD and usually don't have one. Us girls just lucky I guess.

My husband has verbally came around to my surgery 1 week prior. I know he has a fear I'm gonna get skinny and leave him. We've been together for 13 years, since I was 16. I was never skinny but now I'm 60lbs heavier. Has anyone else had to deal with their husbands insecurities?

Post op day 3: I've been up an hr and I'm already feeling more like a normal person. When can we swallow pills crushed is disgusting?

Just got home last night. I'm having some nausea and the gas is so annoying. My stomach is a little sore but probably better than others since I slept on my stomach part of the night. So hard to drink these fluids

Tuesday for me too! Thank God my dr didn't do the 10 day clears. 1 days clears starts rt now!!

This is a relief to me. I only rated labor an 8 at the highest. I've never had any surgery so I can do a 4 with pain meds

Things I will not miss...... 1) having to wear long shorts so my thighs don't chafe 2) not wearing knee high boot 3) wearing ugly bras 4) not being able to borrow clothes from my friends 5) the struggle to shave my legs in the shower 6) leaving clothing stores crying or just pissed off 7) sweating while getting dressed and doing my hair and make up -

So glad I found this thread. My surgery is the 22nd and I only have 1 day preop clear liquids. I haven't been gouging but I've been making sure every meal is one of my favorite foods. -

Started running 2 months before my surgery. Let me tell you it's not easy but I have pushed though the shin splints. I really like running I'm sick of shin splints and hoping will ease up and I will get faster after being sleeved. I can run 2 miles now without a break and did a 5K last month(not fast at all). How much easier is it getting for all you post opers?

What can I expect for hair loss? Is there something I can eat to prevent it? How far post op does it usually occur?

I wanted to keep mine quiet but I can't keep a secret at all especially my own. I wish I wouldn't have told anyone but my mom and my husband! I was afraid people would think I am taking the easy way out but now I know it's not the easy way.

I was just wondering how much extra skin I should anticipate. I will get sleeved a week before my 30th B-day and I would like to loose about 110lbs.
