Hi! I was just curious to see if anyone would be willing to post their before vs surgery and after vs surgery pictures. Im 5 ft 9 and around 250 pounds. Was wondering if anyone was the same and could post their weight loss pictures so i can have a vision in mind on how i would look. Thanks and this post isnt meant to sound creepy lol. -

I just got approved for surgery may 12 th is the date. YAY!! Once i am on the other side, i will post my experience but for now, this is all i have to give -

Hi all! I plan on using FMLA and short term disability for my surgery. Did anyone else take advantage of this? I really want to take 6 -8 weeks to fully heal and be able to get myself on a strict schedule to make sure i am as successful as possible with this. I work from home for a credit card company and its a very emotionally stressful and mentally taxing job. I commute 2 times a week sometimes just for change of scenery. What was your time off time frame and how would i go about asking my doctor for an excused 6-8 weeks off work. This is my first time ever in my life having surgery as well.

I agree with you, i need this time to really get my eating and exercising completely under my belt so when i go back to work i feel ready. Ask ur employer i spoke with my boss and she gave me all the information i needed. I just wonder if my doctor would sign off on 2 months... Or even be willing to do 3 months if he knew i could take it. Does anyone know how to bring this up? Or the correct verbiage to use?
-
So it is possible for the doctor to give me the time off that i need? Really i could take 3 months but i think 2 months would more than enough to get my eating, exercising and mental state all under control. I am just afraid of what the doctor may say.

My question is: if i get sleeved before my 21st birthday. How soon can i go out and really celebrate my 1st legal drink?

I have blue cross blue shield of il with the plan of ppo, i was just diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome and put on a type 2 diabetes medicine. Will my insurance see that and instantly approve me. My bmi is 40 according to my endocrinologist and both my pcp and my endocrinologist recommended for weight loss surgery. Any situations similar to mine and your results??

Hi everyone! I am considering this surgery because ive exhausted all options. Ive tried every weight loss attempt from hydroxycut to advocare to slimquick to dumping all the pills and just clean eating and a hiit workout routine 6 days a week. I am a newlywed to my husband who is in the air force and what pains me the most is even though ive been with him throughout highschool and 2 years of college i cannot feel confident enough to be intimate with him without looking at myself in the mirror and wanting to throw up. I just see someone who is not me staring back at me and i wanna change. I need a life change i wanna be able to have my husband pick me up and carry me around and be someone to be proud of. Be a healthier person for me and my family and i feel this surgery is it. In the last 5 years ive gone from 150-160 to 250 pounds. Im 5 foot 9 and my family has a history of diabetes , high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea and so forth. And im on the borderline of it all. My question is do u think ill be a candidate am i crazy for wanting this surgery? Am i too young? What do i have to do? Please all advice is much appreciated. Thank you!

Kgregory replied to ebonisekim's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I think you look breath taking but in the end its how u see and feel about yourself. Maybe make a doctors appointment and ask your doctor what he thinks and go from there but girl u look show stopping ! Best of luck to you
