I had the same thing, only on my right side. It is still a bit sore while bending but has been much better the last few days. I use to have to hold a pillow while deep breathing/coughing because of the pain. It will get better soon.

I so understand. I can't wait until 4 weeks out when I can have some food to actually chew.

I'm sorry you're going through some things. Have you used the gene pro? I mix it with milk and lite chocolate syrup, it has less than 10g of sugar in 2 tbsps. Try mixing it up a little bit.

I go back a forth between them. I think once the 1st or 2nd of November gets here, everyone will be over here.

I was pretty much back to pre surgery weight at my 1 week post op appointment too. I haven't weighed in a few days, since I'm coming up on the dreaded 3 week stall I have vowed to only weight once a week, I'm doing that on Thursday Morn.

Well, that's new for me, it worked fine when I was over 200 lbs. I guess condoms then until I reach that 190. I don't take to other contraception very well, maybe I will take nuvaring for a while. We are very good at not having kids when we don't want them, we have 3 spaced out over 7 years, the 1st and 2nd are 4 years apart, the 2nd and 3rd are 2.5 years apart and only because we wanted the last sooner.

I'm post op day 4 and looking for some progress to go off on. Starting weight was 250, surgery weight was 242. I'm sore, in pain and in the regret phase due to the pain right now. I need some motivators, please.

Thank you all for your support. I am feeling so much better than I did at 4 days post op. I am nearly whole feeling, just some minor side pain, almost like a strained muscle. It is so nice to see so much accomplishments. Right now I'm a 22/24, I'm hoping to get to a size 8, I would like to end up being about 130 with a bounce up to 140.

I'm going to do the patch, IUD's were no Bueno for me. I believe the depo provera got me in my situation in the first place I was a normal bmi before I got on it as a teenager. I'm loathe to birth control but it has to be for now

So I have a bit of nausea but I'm sure I ate a bit too mich, it was only 1/2C but I don't think I'm going to be able to get anymore of that in without feeling this way for a while. Who knew, half a cup could fill up someone so much. Now I have to wait an hour or so before I take my last pills of the day. A note to all, take your pills before your meals, otherwise it might be hard to get them in once you move from the full liquid stage.

Good luck tomorrow Gladiators! You will all come out fine. Sending painless, gas painless, and easy recovery vibes your way!

Here are my incisions. I have many, my doc couldn't use all of my old ones from the lap band so he had to make a few new ones. I have 6 of them.

I went to the same office. I had Dr. Luis Laguna. Small world!

I would but the problem is that we are color coded now. So my only choice is to wear maroon, all the time. I usually don't see this color or any solid colors besides blue at the thrift stores. The only upside is my hospital provides us with some money for scrubs, not much but $100 is better than nothing.

I think a lot of us worry whether we are doing the right thing or not. I was nervous going in the OR, still at 2 weeks out feeling nervous for my life ahead of me. I think once all our weight related complications begin to disappear, we love what we have done. I have read from multiple people on this forum that they really love their decision at 3-6 months out from surgery.

You all can keep the snow! I live in MN and that polar vortex crap was for the birds. My kid stayed out of school about 2 weeks last winter.

I know you're healing but maybe have someone drive you down to the actual program place you went to. Then demand they help you while you're there. It seems like they are dodging calls and being there will make them have some type of responsibility. I'm sorry you have to go through all of this.

Take it easy. I was in so much pain 5 days post op due to having to drive to my first appointment and taking my kids with me. My BP was up. You'll get there eventually. Remember I told you to get help, You RN's are so stubnorn, sheesh.

I'm able to take in more than a sip of water now, I still try to sip though. Now I get extra thirsty after my meals since I can't drink with them anymore. That's when I usually take in more than a sip, I also feel I have to wait 45 to an hour after a meal because if before that I feel extra full.

Oh I take longer than the 30 minutes. I am going super slow. If this is my dumping, I'll take it over others I've seen. I was really warm with tuna and low fat mayo because the tuna is so dry, again with the beans, not as severe as the tuna. I haven't had any tuna today so we shall see. It happened last week but I wasn't consuming anything that would cause dumping since I changed up my protein.

Your response to: "but you aren't 'THAT' big!"
AuriP replied to MisforMimi's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I've told plenty of people about my decision. I'm a revision patient so many knew that the lap band didn't work for me. I haven't had one negative comment towards me so far, I've had many say they would never, ever get it done, one who is bigger than I. I own it, I need it. My mom has struggled with her weight the majority of her life, she is diabetic, has had a heart attack at 46, has had a stroke at 34. I inherited all those pre existing conditions from her. My maternal grandmother's family have died young, she died. There was 7 of them and now there are 3 left. All with some form of pre existing conditions that my mother has. I'm not playing around with my health, I'm already pre diabetic (before surgery), my knees were hurting, my legs were becoming swollen, I'm not even 30 yet, still have 6 months to go. I have 3 kids that I want to enjoy to the fullest, I want to be able to not be tired from playing with them. I want them to lead a healthy life so that they may prevent some of the conditions my mother has had to endure. I don't care what anyone says, this is not their body or their life, this is mine. -
So I have a weird side effect, nothing bad. After I eat, I get really warm, not sweaty just warm. I assume it's my metabolism ramping up.

Today's lunch, refried beans mixed with a little milk to thin it out some and 1 packet low sodium taco seasoning for flavor. 1/2C serving, I don't think I'll finish the whole thing.

Boo, I'm allergic to mushrooms so I couldn't get it at the time. I got cream of broccoli instead.
