  1. I am now 9 weeks out but had the burning sensation from about weeks 2-4. I was told by my surgeon it's all the muscles & nerves healing. The pain was around my largest incision where they removed my stomach from. I had trouble driving comfortably and bending over, but it does go away! Your body has gone through a lot lately & is still healing. Also, just FYI, hold your stomach with a pillow when sneezing, that hurt the worst!

    Never thought I'd hate food!

Thank you for all the suggestions everyone. Things are getting better & I've been able to eat a little egg now! Slowly but surely...

    Never thought I'd hate food!

I'm with you! I too am slowly starting to eat more now as not everything sounds horrible anymore. Like you, a few bites and I'm done (which from what I understand is normal for now). The mental aspect of this surgery has definitely been the hardest for me. I'm trying to change 30 years of thinking in a short amount of time; some days are harder than others. Hang in there, we can do this!
  4. Sleeved on 9/19/13 DOS (also highest weight): 254 CW: 214 Down 40 pounds! Currently having trouble with getting Protein in, there is only 1 shake I still like and it only has 15 grams per serving. food intake is not so good, average about 300 calories a day. Feeling a little sluggish, but went back to work recently so that keeps me going! Best of Luck to all my fellow September sleevers!

    Never thought I'd hate food!

I was thinking it might be psychological, especially when I'm swallowing my pills I think about gagging and then I do. And yes, I'm prone to anxiety attacks!
  6. I am 6 weeks out and experiencing an aversion to food I never thought possible! I was prepared to have no appetite; however, even the mere THOUGHT of eggs literally makes me gag! My gag reflex was pretty bad pre-op, but I've noticed it's worse now post-op. The smell of certain foods makes me gag too. Anyone else experience this change? Sometimes I gag and even vomit a little. When I do eat (not much), I'm able to keep it down so I don't think anything is stuck in there, I'm just worried I should be eating more at this stage and not feeling so "blah."
  7. Mine right now at 4 weeks is 400-500 a day.

    Favorite Meals Pre Sleeve-post pics

Ahhh there are so many! It's hard to pick just a few Lol Which is how I got myself in this mess in the first place! Red Lobster Cajun chicken Linguini pizza Factory Combo Pizza Giant bean, cheese & rice burrito (with chips, salsa & sour cream of course!) The good ol days!
  9. I will be 4 weeks out tomorrow and am on soft foods. Right now, Greek yogurt is my favorite. It goes down nice & smooth, 3 oz and 8 grams of Protein. I start the day with that, and then for lunch or dinner might have an ounce of chicken breast with green Beans, or a turkey slice with a little bit of cheese. I haven't branched out too much yet, I'm sticking to the things I know go down well. I like Soups too, minestrone (without the noodles), veggie Soup, soups with chicken & beans.
  10. I hope they get it fixed for you ASAP!!
  11. My incision is indented too! I figured it would work itself out but now I wonder!
  12. That's what I was thinking too. It's my biggest incision and the bruising I had around it from after surgery is just barely going away. I'm thinking something pretty drastic went on there, but I don't think I wanna know all the details either! LOL
