I thought this was a good thing

That's really too bad that your family can't be more supportive of you. What your going through is not only for your health and benefit but the benefit of your family so you can be there and healthy for them. I suspect your husband doesn't like change as mentioned above. He's probably very jealous and could be unhappy that changes in your lifestyle mean changes in his. You did not take the easy way out. Nothing about this surgery is easy and for me, it's still going to be a lifelong battle to make good choices. Keep your chin up and know that there are many people here who are proud of you.

    Vomited vitamins

Same thing happened to me. I switched to Flintstones complete and as soon as I could started Viactiv chocolate chewy Calcium. No more problems.

    Broth question?

You can do a can of Campbell's chicken noodle soup and use a strainer for the noodles and chunks of chicken. Sometimes cambpell's just tasted better to me.

    I ain't gonna lie

I tried the Isopure but could not get past the taste. I found I was able to tolerate the Ensure clear drinks and of course unjury chicken broth

    Protein Shake Creativity

I get them at World Market too but there are a lot more flavors available online than what the stores carry. DaVinci Gourmet also carries a lot of sugar free flavors on line that Torani doesn't.

    Protein Shake Creativity

If you like chocolate/peanut butter you can also add PB2. I tried adding some orange crystal light powder to a vanilla shake to make a creamsicle. The powder didn't completely dissolve and I had to strain it but it did make a nice flavor. I think I will be ordering some sugar free orange torani syrup next time.

    I ain't gonna lie

I won't lie either, going through the liquid pre-op diet is hard. But I made it through without any cheating and I have never felt so proud of myself. I figured that if I couldn't make it through 2 weeks before surgery, how was I going to make it after surgery. It sucked but I looked at it as a chance for a new life and a new relationship with food and that got me through. You can do it!

    Am i crazy?

I'm not looking to have another child but I do have three. Due to PCOS and my weight we went through years of infertility and miscarriages after having our first child. We ended up doing In Vitro with donor eggs and had twins. So my older child is 9 and my twins are 2.5. It's a lot of work with twins but I'm glad we had them. I got the three kids I wanted and only had to be pregnant twice.

    I'm disappointed....

I'm wondering if your getting enough calories in. Your body may be in starvation mode and not lose any weight.

  14. Ask your surgeon first of all. I have young twins at home who always want to be carried. I didn't pick them up for a while but tried to sit on the floor and the sofa with them on me as much as possible.
  15. I do simply because the Protein shakes fill me up so much. I usually have to wait a while before I can hold more liquid.
  16. I suggest keeping a contact list handy also. Important numbers like doctors, hospital, people who can help as last resort if something goes wrong.
  17. 1 week clear liquids, 2 weeks full liquids, 1 week pureed, then soft foods

Can I wear a bra during surgery?

I couldn't have worn one if I wanted to but I brought a full length fuzzy robe with me to wear when walking around the hospital floor and warm socks because it's always cold in the hospital.

My 'head' wants me to eat BIG TIME

I know exactly what you mean. I'm three months out and have found that I can eat pretty much anything, just really small portions. I was hoping that I wouldn't be able to tolerate bread so it would be easy to avoid but that has not turned out to be the case. I've loosened up my restrictions and as result the weight isn't coming off so fast. I need to get back to basics but getting my head to follow is another matter. I come here for inspiration to stay on track.

    Flintstone Complete?

I take Flintstones in addition to calcium (viactive), Vitamin D, Biotin, and B-12 sublingual once a week. I also get monthly B-12 injections because I had pernicious anemia before the surgery.

    Belching and gas

At 3 months post op I found that I now have small burps instead of big belches. I still have gas but not nearly like I used to.

I've been taking SSRI's for 10 years. I've no problems with manual orgasms, it's my husband that turns me off
