I bought myself a soft, long, robe with a zipper up the front and warm socks. I always get cold in the hospital and I wanted to be covered when I walked around. -

I never got that feeling, but speaking of fuzzy, I noticed when I do a liquid diet my teeth get extra fuzzy feeling. -
How did you all make it at home the first two weeks with small children?
Busymomof3 replied to tfarr's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My twins were 2 at the time I had my surgery. I did have help from my husband and grandma but I also explained that mommy can't pick you up because I have a sore tummy. Usually there were fine if I got down on the floor with them and let them sit on me. I healed fast and honestly I don't recall being given any lifting restrictions. I think they just said I could go by how I felt. My twins are 3 now and I still lift them because of a bad shoulder but honestly, my son is 38 pounds so I don't want to be lifting him anyway. -
What’s Your Relationship with Caffeine?
Busymomof3 replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I don't fit into the survey. I was a coffee addict before and still am. I had no restrictions placed on coffee. I do have to make sure I get my Water in too. -
I have that problem too. Seems like year round I'm wearing a jacket and gloves at work. I've recently got myself an electric blanket I use at work now. I'm not sure if my temperature problems are due to the weight loss strictly or also due to anemia and thyroid problems.

Did You Freak Out About Surgery on the Day Of?
Busymomof3 replied to mnmlst's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I didn't freak out at all. I was so excited I was jittery but I never once considered backing out. I think my husband was the one freaking out and getting teary. -

How tall are you and what is your goal dress/pant size?
Busymomof3 replied to Butterflyhigh's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm 5'7" and at 148 now in a size 6 dress pants and 8 jeans. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would get down to this size. After having twins, I'm always going to have a muffin top stomach unless I get plastic surgery and I doubt that is going to happen. -
My thyroid levels have stabilized. I'm still on medication and the dosage hasn't changed. I have Hashimoto's

Experiences with IUI?
Busymomof3 replied to Comfy_Blue's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I've had numerous fertility treatments for years trying to get pregnant. We started out with IUI Intrauterine insemination. An IUI in my opinion wasn't really invasive and our insurance covered 3 attempts. My husband needed to take clomid because his sperm count and motility was low. I don't think that you need to take many hormones with IUI because they are simply taking the sperm and putting by the egg so that they can fertilize themselves. My husband and I moved into IVF InVitro Fertilization after several miscarriages with IUI. With the IVF they took my husbands sperm and injected it into my eggs. With IVF there is definitely a lot of hormones involved. After a miscarriage with IVF they determined that my eggs were bad. We ended up doing IVF with donor eggs and had twins. There were still many hormones injections with the IVF with donor eggs but not as many for me since they weren't using my eggs. -

Coughing at night....
Busymomof3 replied to S(he) be(lie)ve(d)'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had that sensation right after my surgery too. I ended up propping myself up a bit with pillows and then I didn't have the problem anymore. It went away after a few days as I healed. -

So you can get fat again?
Busymomof3 replied to Paloma68's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Personally, I don't get dumping syndrome. I still have my appetite and cravings for sugar. I also don't seem to have any problems eating bread, rice or potatoes. If I let myself, I could definitely gain the weight back. I have to work hard not to eat that stuff and exercise to stay healthy.
