About Me
I am married with three kids (2 in University and 1 in high school). I have been obese since I was about 6 yrs old. I did manage too get to a normal weight and stay there in my late teens to mid 20's but since then have been steadily climbing, losing and climbing some more. The past 5 years have really opened my eyes to how dangerously I have been treating my body. I have degenerative spinal arthritis that has been causing me so much pain that I eventually stopped pretty much doing anything. I thenknew that I had to do something. In Canada it takes time to get referred into a program and then go through all of the classes, dr's, nutrionist, psyc, nurse and surgeon visits. It took a total of 18 months from my GP referring me to my day of surgery. I lost 25lbs on my own and had my surgery on May 14/14 and have continued to lose the weight. I still have a lot to go but I am extremely happy to have made this choice and to be on my way to a Fat Free self!
