What was your most recent NSV? (non-scale victory)
fat_free replied to tamg26k's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Went Christmas shopping tonight with my husband and ended up in LuLulemon ( notorious for their see thru leggings and for having small fitting clothes). My husband wanted me to try on a top that he liked for me. I was sure nothing would fit. The largest size they have is a size 12 for goodness sakes I said - no way will this even come close to fitting. My husband, shook his head and took one off the rack told me to go and try this one on. Got in the change room (thinking this is the very 1 St time I have ever stepped in this room here. What I am doing nothing in this store will ever fit me?! That old feeling of shame took over me again and I wanted to run). Then I looked at the tag for the top my husband chose and its a size 8 - What in the world was he thinking.... Now I am really feeling uggggg. Not only did it fit - it was TOO BIG! Yaa baby! Take that LuLulemon ???? -
So THIS happened the other day. Me and my big mouth.

When did your hair loss start?
fat_free replied to EllieMae's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I lost hair by the mit full from 3-5 months when it started to slow a bit. Now that I am just coming on 7 months out I think (pray) that I'm done losing hair. Lots of new hair growth and very little loss in the shower. Whereas during the initial stages of hair loss I would have handfuls of hair coming out. I would note though that ANY surgery that I have had has caused me to have loads of hair loss so to me this was totally expected. -

172.8. Yup up 2.8lbs this week, why, well because I let myself slide at three Christmas parties and didn't get any where near my water requirements. Glad to have this group to keep me honest and back on track. I have to remember my sleeve is just a tool. If I don't use it correctly, this is what happens. Back on track

You look fabulous! -
I use Arbonne's body firming lotion. So far it seems to be helping

I eat three meals and two snacks (if I remember). I tried nibbling but ended up eating way more than I should plus I was getting into the trail mix. This resulted in ..... A weight gain for me. So for me nibbling is out for sure - I can not be trusted apparently ☺️

What do YOU order at Starbucks?
fat_free replied to LightlyMyDarling's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Tall decaf americano with room for skim milk. Typically make my own now too though. Especially my own skinny decaf latte's. Milk frothed are the best! -
170 today! So close to the 60's, I can taste it! Keeping my goal at 160 to keep me accountable through Christmas. ????

Definitely start tracking on my fitness pal if you can it will give you an idea of where your calorie intake, Protein and carb intake is at. Sure does sound like you are not eating enough and definitely not drinking enough Water. These two things will slow your weightloss down drastically. Another really great resource is the Big book of the Gastric Sleeve. It will have a lot information from the very beginning that you've already past but it also has a lot of great infomation for about the how's and whys we follow the certain intakes. I definitely found it to be a great resource early on. Hope these all help

I am always freezing now. I've had more hot baths in the last 3 months than I've had in the last 30 years! I have to wear socks, sweats, hoodie to bed along with our down comforter and extra blanket. My husband says he knows we live in Canada and it's cold and all but I'm dressing like we live in an igloo????

Name something strange and super unhealthy that you used to eat before weight loss
fat_free replied to My Bariatric Life's topic in Food and Nutrition
My to die for snack was. Toasted bagel, cream cheese, fried egg, slice of cheddar cheese, bacon and mayo! Yup and it wasn't just one. Can't even think about making this now...some how I could see it being a trigger again for me. Now it's just a "not so distant memory"...... -
Smooth move is my answer/go to when I feel like I've eat to much
fat_free replied to pinkbunies's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just ordered my smooth move tea for the first time and now I think I might not be taking it considering the info that I'm now seeing. I just thought it was a herbal tea that helped with BM's. Am really opposed to taking any sort of laxative for myself...been there done that in my youth...guess I'm back to prunes and chia seeds and ....making myself get that Water in. Seems to be the key to stopping my constipation Good luck everyone - wishing everyone a better time with BMs -
173 this morning

Congratulations! It's a wonderful feeling isn't it? I am still shocked every time I step on the scale, I expect it to start with a two and then it starts with a 1 and I smile every single time! Well done!

I ordered mine on line yesterday from Amazon and it was only $5 a box with free shipping. Haven't seen it in the stores here in Edmonton (canada) -

I bought a pair of size 10 skinny leg cords in grey today, thinking that I should be able to fit into them around News Years. Got home and decide to try them on too see how far I had to go...... They fit and I didn't even have to do the jump juggle and suck things in to zip them up. Totally HAPPY! -
174.....again
