@lipsticklady. These are great ideas. I've often pondered buying the Gouda, now that I know it's good I will definitely pick up in some. Unfortunately, I haven't seen the lime marinated shrimp up here in Alberta - to bad 'cause I would buy this all the time!

I've tried offering up mine for free too and so far no takers???? Guess I'll keep him. After almost 27 years of marriage it's just far too much to even think about having to train yet another one -

Scale vs. clothes: what's going on here?!
fat_free replied to JackieBrown's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Me too! Just bought a pair of size 8 skinny jeans and I am 168lbs. Never would I have fit an 8 before at this weight. I was 135lbs when I got married and was wearing a 7/8 then.... Shoot I think that means that the sizing is whacked... Naw lets go with our bodies are shrinking ???? -

Cinnamon helps. I have added chocolate protein powder too but hated the consistency so added some fat free milk to it and that helped -

Decided to flee from the winter cold snap heading our way. It's going to be -23c here on Sunday (Alberta) so am running to Phoenix for a week. Now Phoenix is not as warm as usual but better than here. So have decided to post today for Monday's weigh in Starting weight 168lbs VC goal weight 158 lbs Thanks Susan!

168 today. Didn't meet my goal but am still super happy to be in the 160's. I am still down and made it through the holidays without a 10+ lbs weight gain like a typical year. Onward to the next challenge. A huge thank you to you Susan???? for running these. These challenges are a huge motivator to stay on track for me ????

Looking for "What I Wish I Knew" Tips and Suggestions!
fat_free replied to Mariah13's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I totally agree with @lipsticklady. I pre purchased many Protein shake powders, Soups etc and found that I 1) found most foods way to sweet to eat 2) the change in amt of food you can eat weeks afterwards is drastic and a lot of food went to waste. So yes, best to wait till post op and pick up small amounts of liquid then soft foods to begin. Off point - I used to think it was my kids who ate so much and wanted the carb laden foods etc in the house, but it turns out it was ME. I am slowly convincing myself that they are needed in the house at all. Even though I do not eat them any more I have still been buying them in smaller quantities and I continually through out food to this day. My eyes are truly bigger than my stomach. (She says with a huge smile) -
Thank you, thank you, thank you Susan! Will post new weight and goal on Monday. You are the bestest EVER,

I'm done telling folks. They don't get it
fat_free replied to wannaBthinsoon's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have been quizzed relentlessly from coworkers about the various surgeries they think I've had and I just say nope and carry on with the work related discussion that preceded the change in topic. They all know I was out for surgery last May, they know I've had various health issues so keep trying to dig. For the weightloss I just keep saying its a Dr and nutritionist supervised diet/lifestyle change because I was having so many health issues all different - yet related. Period. That's all they get from me. One lady at work confronted me and said I sure as heck hope you didn't have your stomach cut out as that's taking it too far. I jut walked away. She came back later and apologized and then said I am glad to see you are losing weight the healthy way...WTF Carry on ... I tell no one, this is my business only. My husband and kids know. No other family either. It's just so much easier to not have to deal with their criticisms. Just need to be happy with your choice and work with your tool. I know I am thrilled with my new view point wishing you well with the upcoming NEW year! -
172 Merry Christmas Susan! I hope your grandson is doing well.
