I am 2 months out and the last of my scars finally has no scab left. They are all fairly red though (not infected-just red scars). However, I had gallbladder surgery 15 years ago with scars in close to the same spot. They are very hard to see and have been that way since probably 18months to two years out from that surgery. The VSG scars are so small that they honestly will not be big deals at all.

my boyfriend doesn't approve of the surgery
fat_free replied to chad.vicious's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Chad, I asked my husband to read some of these forums on Bariatric Pal - the good, bad and the ugly. Plus I showed him that I had done my research and had the medical test ,nutritionist, GP, surgeon and psychiatrist review. I told him that I wanted him to read up on what I had researched because I planned on going to through with the surgery regardless because it has been my life that was at risk and I was no longer willing to stand by and let that happen any longer. I wanted him to be part of this monumental decision that I had made but that regardless I was booked for surgery and wasn't planning on cancelling. To my surprise, he actually did read through the forums and came away with more knowledge and a supportive view point. That was at the beginning of May. I had surgery on May 14th and we both couldn't be happier! -

Where are all my May Sleevers?
fat_free replied to sandirufophoto's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I finally stopped throwing up 3 weeks ago. Feel bad for you that you had to endure not feeling that well on your vacation. The weight gain could be Fluid retention from flying too. I usually swell up like a balloon on flights over 3 hours! I too am suffering from quite a bit of a queazy feelings after drinking anything. And for first time in my life I have been experiencing heart burn but mostly when I drink plain Water?!? Odd Overall though, I feel GREAT. Down 26lbs since surgery, now that my calories are between 800-1000 /day the weight is moving much quicker. Started up with my Pilates instructor for the first time since surgery and she was shocked. Said I looked like I lost half of me! I love her! She's probably exaggerating - but it was sure nice to hear. I have a brand new wardrobe weekly it seems. All of the beautiful clothes that I have bought over the past few years only to never wear them or rarely wear them do to my ever increasing size. Only now, I can wear them and some I've only worn once or twice and they are falling off now - what a tremendous journey. I hope everyone is doing well too! -
Okay here's today's numbers starting weight 204 Stretch goal 187

Arbonne makes a really tasty pea Protein shake in chocolate and vanilla. I am 8 weeks out and still find it too sweet for me right now but was using pre sleeve successfully. http://www.arbonnemarketing.com/PK/dl/pk/2069_us_eng.pdf

Ginger Lim, your new life is just beginning. It will be so worth it! My last food indulgence was a large size bowl of soft frozen yogurt with hot fudge sauce. Haven't missed it since being sleeved!

60 lbs! That's 10 lbs a month. In all my years of dieting and with weight watchers I never managed that consistency. Our sleeves our doing their job as a tool to help us lose the weight at a healthy rate. You are rockin' this. Keep up the great work

General Anesthesia - Thoughts of the Day
fat_free replied to Skywalker's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have a terrible time with anesthesia, but regardless of the complexities I knew I was I. Good hands and that if I didn't do this surgery the I was heading into some of the worst years of my life health wise. It has been the best decision I have EVER made! -
RJ, you look fabulous! Thank you for all of the support that you give to this forum too!
