Definitely was heartburn for me but took me 6 weeks to figure it out. Now I take acid reducer and I am no longer (ever for that matter) feeling hungry

You know you lost weight when

Usually have to shimmy out of my pants when I was in an 18/16. Today when I undid my zipper and belt on my size 16 jeans they fell to the floor! Yay! -

196lbs today. Down 2!

Hrhlaurie, this is so true. I moved my thyroid mess to before bed at the end of June and it's much better! That way I take my vitamins in the am and my calcium citrate around 10, 2pm and 7. Then no interference with my synthroid.

Downloaded the slow eating app two weeks ago and it has really helped

As you are on your journey you will be losing weight and if anything the people at the gym will notice this and comment you on your loses and the hard work that you are putting. They will know this because they will be seeing you at the gym too

Why are some weight loss surgery patients so clueless?
fat_free replied to VSGAnn2014's topic in Rants & Raves
RJ and Lipstick Lady, I value all of your posts! They all bring great insight and valuable information whether they apply applies to me or not at the moment. I have come to see that all information is and will be relative to me and others. Keep giving your feedback as is. We all need to Remember that everyone is providing feedback and responses relative to their own experience and so we as readers need to take it as that and decide whether we can, need or want to use the info provided. Words on a screen are just that *words*. As someone else pointed out there is not tone or visual clues to be able to assess what is *meant* being the words. We need to remember that often people are responding on mobile devices, small screens and on the move. So responses can be curt but always well meaning and are there to impart knowledge or personal experiences. Just my two cents. -

OMG I totally forgot we used to do that as kids. Gonna get me some fat free pudding and make some Popsicles. Yay thank you for the memory twig! -
Holy fricken' amazing girl! Way to work that sleeve

Nope, I can't do the bread. I have eaten two slices of ham and a cucumber slice from my husbands sub. That was about all I could manage at the time. Was about 4-5 weeks out at the time. Even today I wouldn't be able to have the bread, just maybe more veggies but not a whole lot more

Holy moly - stunning transformation!

I had my surgery on 21 July and today I had my first setback
fat_free replied to mtedge75's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Eating too much to quickly could be the culprit too. Slow down and listen to the signs your new tummy is giving you. You may find out that it's telling you that you are already full. One mouthful too much brings these symptoms on for me. I am 11 weeks out -
198lbs No change from last week

Sure thing. I was about 7/8 weeks out when this started for me and they perceived heartburn medication too. For the most part it has worked only still get the same sensations now when I drink tap water...go figure...whose knows what in that water

how would i know if im eating/drinking too fast?

FYI, this can be the difference of one or two mouthfuls too -

Eat slowly, and chew thoroughly....this will give you time to figure out if the next mouthful is really needed. Plus, I have various signs of hitting that magic wall (which by the way if I hit...it will all come up for me at least). My signs, hiccups, my sleeve makes these weird sounds like an internal growly little monster that you can't make be quiet no matter what, then if it gets to the point of pressure in my chest....done! Starts salivating heavily, don't feel so good and need to get to washroom quick like. I am three months out and thank goodness have not had one of these episodes since the end of June. Hopefully, I've got my sensations understood. We are all different though, so you'll need to experiment. Believe me, you'll figure it out pretty quick -
