First day/night in hospital?
magtart replied to Fit2btied's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I remember when I had back surgery and my husband brought our son to the hospital to see me. The first thing he said was "Mommy, is that pee in that bag hanging from the bed?" -
Ooh...that sounds right up my alley!

This is Deuxdad the night after we rescued her from our back yard on July 4th. I'm guessing she was approx. 4 weeks old. -

I just ordered one of their sample packs, but have not received it yet. I know I am going to have a hard time getting down sweet protein drinks.

People don't really die from VSG right?
magtart replied to Disabledaccount's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The only time I have ever been afraid of surgery was shortly after my husband passed away and I had to have spinal fusion. I was terrified of leaving our 8 year old son alone. Everything went fine, no problems. Since then I have had 2 more spinal surgeries lasting more than 7 hours and nothing happened. I have no fear of the VSG surgery. It seems like a piece of cake after what I have already been through. -
