I have been overweight since I was a kid. I vividly remember the first time I ever weighed myself in middle school gym class for the world to see. I was 200lbs. The gym teachers looked at me with pity and maybe even disgust. I really didn't get it then. All my life I have been overweight but for the last probably 6-8 years hovering around 280lb. I am tall and my weight is portioned well so that always helped. I have been diagnosed with PCOS, insulin resistance and Hoshimoto's disease had chronic back issues and spine surgery in 2011. I am happily married to my best friend and have a beautiful, almost 5 year old boy and recently celebrated my 30th birthday. I figure enough is enough. I want the rest of my life to be normal. I have been planning on WLS since 2007. The timing never worked out but now he were are...so close I can taste it....!
