  1. I had my sleeve 9/16/13: TMI past here....... I had full runs on day three, four, and five. Now day six nothing but right side aches that go to my back and they say most likely from no solid matter. They on call (of course over weekend) said no worries cause I am passing gas. I don't have gas pains like i did with lap band thank goodness. Just getting a little worried because the idea of an "enema" is not what i want to be experiencing any time soon! Lol. :0)
  2. I had my sleeve Sept 16! Recovery is going better then I even imagined! I previously had the lap band placed January 2009 & had to have removed May 2013 due to slippage. The sleeve has been ten times easier surgery/recovery then my band. My surgery was also more invasive due to had to remove scar tissue that was caused from band placement/slippage/removal.

    Band to sleeve tomorrow!

I had my band placed January 2009, removed in May 2013. Just had my sleeve procedure 9/16/13, and so far recovery has been easier then when I had my band placed/removed. I am so so glad I did the sleeve!!!!!!

    Liquid diet starts tomorrow!

I was in the same boat as you with my boyfriend, he can eat what ever when ever and still losses weight. When I planned my meal plan for the week, we planned one for him and that seemed to help. I think what helped also is I had a list of things I wanted to get done before surgery, so if I couldn't handle the smell (meaning I wanted to eat what he was having) I would go to my list and work on my to do list.

    Liquid diet starts tomorrow!

It's hard to watch people eat around you, but if you can do the pre-op I agree you can change your life style. It honestly it does amazing wonders for you after surgery. I am comparing when I had my lap band placed, and then when I did my gastric sleeve. It is only up hill from here, and you CAN do it!!!

    Wait time?

I had my surgery on 9/16/13, they told me I could walk as long as comfortable and to wait for gym type excercise / stomach work outs tell I hit six weeks post op.
  8. Hello, I am new here and just had my sleeve surgery on 9/16/13. I previously had the lap band placed in January 2009, and due to slippage it was removed May 2013. My surgeon was and still is so GOOD, I am so so glad I found out about him and had the sleeve done by him. I woke up with pain under control, (which never happens, lol), little to no gas feeling, and I felt actually better meaning no bloating feeling like I did before surgery. Yes I had swelling and bloating, but seemed like worse before surgery, I thank my doctor for doing an amazing job! Pain has not been to bad since coming home, same issues as everyone else the sleeping has been the worst for me. This am I did get pain in my right side that went to my back, doesn't feel like gas pain and so did some moving/walking sitting back down to see what happens. I am sure it is from extra stitches and part of my stomach being a little more difficult to come out, plus my surgery was longer then the normal hour and a half. I had some scar tissue to clear out and my doctor actually took his time instead of rushing thru. I feel like I have been given a second chance at being healthy, and I am going to get this weight back off of me so I get that healthy feeling again.
