Just wondering, i have Medicare and Medicaid in mass and wanted to know how long it took the insurance company to approve for a revision.

I got denied for my psych eval. I'll find out this Tuesday if he will clear me. Unlike you guys, I have to have clearance from everyone and have everything done in order to get a date. Which is a bummer.

I have my psych eval at the end of this month and hopefully will be scheduled for December. So far on the nutritionists diet I've lost 10lbs. Are you guys required to be on a special diet before your pre op liquid diet like me?

What's everyone eating pre-op? What type of diet are you on before the liquid diet has to start?

Hat are done excersizes that I could do when I hurt my ankle while just walking? I had it X-ray and it wasn't broken. But it won't stop hurting when I put any kind of pressure on it. I've been doing the bicycle and weight lifting but I was wondering if there were other options other than that and swimming.

Should be scheduled for the beginning of November soon. I'll find out around the 21st of October.

Gas x big time, slippers, favorite blanket, magazines or crocheting things, pjs for the amount of time you'll be there, tooth brush, paste, socks, under cloths, hair brush, before picture taken.

I had the lap band in 2007 and was terrified! For my family and children mainly. But after I had the surgery, I had no pain where my incisions were and the day after I started having this enormous pressure in my shoulders. It's started to turn to stabbing pain. And it turned out it was all gas from surgery. I highly recommended you bringing gas x when you go. How many days are you staying in the hospital? I stayed 3 days and the kept me as drugged up as I needed to be. I was Abel to walk the same day of surgery and was pain free. But please bring the gas x. Hope this helps.

I know the feeling. I'm a stay at home mom and all three of my boys just started school back up so now I can consentrate on myself.

I'm not allowed to have any carbs(one slice of bread or one tortilla a day), not allowed any sugar in my diet, using truvia, allowed as many veggies as I want (except-corn, potatoes of any kind, beets, butternut squash, and carrots. All of which I love!) but I can have lettuce and all othe veggies. Only allowed one dairy, 2 legume, one nuts or seeds, four oils, two fruits, and three proteins a day. Anyone else on such a strict diet? I feel like I need new recipes soon and I just started this diet four days ago. And this is all pre-op!! Please any advise.

Sounds like my pre-op diet. Are you on the firstline therapy diet plan? I'm hoping to have my surgery at the end of October/ November.

I lost 50 before the lap band and another 50 after but gained 40 back sence it slipped. Hopping to have surgery to fix it soon.

I'm from Springfield ma. Had the lap band done in 2007 and it slipped and there's a leak so now I'm getting the sleeve. I had doctor Romanelli and Cheryl as well. But now I'm going to mercy hospital, they have a more personalized program. How much weight have you lost? I'm due to have my surgery in October or November.

Has anyone here heard of this type of eating plan before weightloss surgery? If so do u know of any websites with recipes?

Revision, how long did it take your insurance to approve you?

I have masshealth and Medicare and had the lapband back in 2007. In October of last year my band slipped and has a hole in it so it wouldn't stay filled. Now that I've decided to get a sleeve I went to a different doctor and the doctor told me that because the band slipped and has a leak, that I don't have to wait. My next nutritionist appointment is on the 30th and she and my doctor will talk( depending on how much weight I loose) and they will tell me when I can have my surgery!!! Too excited that I don't have to wait.

Has anyone heard of this type of weight loss program before surgery? This is something new to me and I'd like to get some recipe ideas and more info. Thanks
