This morning, I had one egg. Later, I had half of a premier protein drink, then a few hours later, I took half of an Atkins protein bar, and right after, I had horrible cramps, and then came dizziness and diarrhea... :-/ so I thought: dumping syndrome? But then I thought isn't the dumping syndrome when you have a lot of sugar? And the Atkins bar tastes very sweet but only has 1g of sugar :-/

I feel so horrible. I am a self sabotaging masochist! This afternoon, I went out with a friend, and she really wanted to go to this one restaurant, so we went, and I thought "I'll be fine". But next thing I know, I eat 3 spoons of her fettuccine with shrimp, I have 2 spoons of lobster bisque, and we got a free dessert because we received bad service! And guess what?! I thought I'd take a bite off that chocolate lava cake too! I get home right after, and throw everything up!!! Ughhh, it was SO uncomfortable! But you think that would be it, but my brother orders pizza tonight, and AGAIN, as if nothing happened this afternoon, I eat a slice! I didn't throw up this time, but I spent the last 30mins feeling so uncomfortable! I can only think right now of how much I hate myself. After all I did for this, I just kept hurting myself today! I just want to cry! :-(

Thanks for the update! I'm currently going through unwanted weight loss myself. Never thought this would happen to me. My goal weight was 140, when I reached it, I was happy and satisfied. I even started to allow myself a bit more (as far as Snacks, I'd start to eat a bit of popcorn here and there, I'd allow myself a piece of chocolate, etc). But despite that, I am now at 125 and going down. I'm 5'5", and I am what you would call "big boned". So at 125, though I am a size 6, it's just because the pants hug my hip bones, which can't get any smaller. I'm literally TOO SKINNY. :-( I guess I will start adding more liquid calories, ensures and things...

133 today. Wow! I surpassed my goal! So happy!

135 for last Friday!

So I recently started my pre-op diet, which consists of shakes, shakes, and more shakes. Water, Crystal Light, and Light broth (if needed). I'm literally sick of the shakes, and I have 7 days left to go! So I've been doing some research and found that there are "liquid proteins" available. I found a "ProSource Liquid Protein" as well as a "ProSource NoCarb Liquid Protein". They do sound like they could solve my shake problems... No one mentioned that to me, so I’m wondering if I can buy the liquid protein and put it in the crystal light, in a fat free soup, or else?? Has anyone used this before?

Thanks. I will try and see if I can order it to Florida! -
I remember when I thought to myself "I don't need weight loss surgery, I'm going to try this special diet one more time, and I'll make it!" I remember when I was worried that I would be the exception, the one who would get weight loss surgery and not lose weight. I remember when I lost my first 30 pounds and thought "I still feel the same, I still think I look the same, and my clothes still fit. This isn't working!" I remember when i felt that each pound I lost was going to be my last one, and I'd lose no more. I remember when I wrote down my goal weight and thought "wow, as if! Oh well, good motivation at least..." I remember when I would look at other people's post in Bea's challenges who were in the 150s, 140s, 130s, and feeling so behind. Now, I still can't believe, I'm 5 lbs away from my impossible goal, I really did lose the weight, each pound I lost was not my last one, and I'm no longer doubtful of weight loss surgery not working for me (duhh lol) Although I'm not yet at goal, I'm very happy, and I wanted to let all of you who currently feel the way I did, that you're going to make it, and you're not going to be the exception to weight loss surgery! :-)

Definitely premier protein shakes. They have plenty of protein (30grams) and very low carbs (I think about 4grams). I get them at Costco, bjs, or Walmart. They don't have a chalky taste, they're pretty thick in texture (like a real milkshake I guess). -
Losing weight but possibly not looking like it...?
EarthyGoalie replied to O-Town Body Rock's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
There are good and bad sides to it. When I was 240, whenever I'd ask someone to guess my weight, 205 was the most I ever got. People don't know how much weight looks like what. Also, some people are just not observant. I asked someone to guess how much weight i lost overall and he said 40 pounds, when it is actually 95 pounds. Don't worry about these people. Pat yourself in the back and admire those lost pounds on the scale. Congrats! :-) -
Today is my one year mark since my VSG! Pictures inside.

You look so beautiful! Congratulations! -
I'm 25. I lost 95 lbs. I'm looking into a breast lift. Mine are gone. There's so much extra skin that was stretched when they were bigger that even will a little toning and firming, the skin will always be there, not helping them firm. I have to remove it. I hate it.
