Eating - 3 weeks post op

As far as being burps, OH YEAH! Big time. I still do today... But I don't really get that feeling like food is dancing around an hour later... But if it is just annoying but isn't uncomfortable, than I wouldn't worry about it. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. :-/

Eating - 3 weeks post op

According to what I've been told, it sure does sound right! But at 3 weeks, other than the post I made about eating pizza and pasta (do NOT try this at home! I'm a food addict, I didn't resist, and paid the price afterwards)-- anyway, other than that slip up, I was eating 40 to 60 g of protein a day, but my doctor told me that if I could increase, then to do just that! I was having Greek yogurt, and babybel cheese. As well as protein shakes and some string cheese.

    What ya eating tonight?

My own version of a taco. I was craving taco. Some sun chips, lean ground beef, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, and cheese. I only ate about 1/4 of the chips though.

    My big fat bucket list

I want to reach my goal weight and stay there! I want to not be scared of anyone pulling out a camera to take pictures! I want to be able to wear every single thing that has been in my closet for years! These are my top 3 :-)

    To all veterans...

That is a great great story! It doesn't happen to me sometimes, when I look at a skinny person, and I go "well what if she also had surgery? What if she was bigger and lost a lot of weight?" But of course there are also these other skinny ones who have been skinny all their lives and judge others. But we don't know who's who, and what they've gone through, so i think that's a great lesson for us, to stop judging because we simply don't know what goes on behind the curtains.

    *September Sleevers Check In*

Hi! I was sleeved on sept 27th. I lost a total of 36lbs since the sleeve (51 if you count preop) I'm doing ok, but my Protein and Water intake have been rather bad this week :-( very bad.... And I'm a bit concerned that I'm not eating enough variety. All I eat is basically cheese and Greek yogurt. I do have some ham or chicken here and there. But I won't go a day without yogurt and cheese. I feel that I have completely lost my imagination and creativity for cooking up meals :-/ like I just don't know what to make anymore....
  12. How do you get 90grams of protein a day without adding a lot of carbs and fat? :-/ It almost seems impossible to me. My surgeon told me to wean off the shakes, and eat more solid. I have been trying, but I cannot get more than 50. But I noticed a lot of the things I think of to eat, is either high in fat like cheese or high in carbs :-/ So how do u do it?

There's food on my Christmas tree!

I don't have any food related ornaments. Just for the simple fact that the only time I did, years ago, every time I looked at the tree, there was something on there I wanted to eat and didn't have the edible version in the kitchen, quickly accessible. Lol. I've just been a fatty like that :-P so it was frustratingggg lol therefore I stopped getting them years ago haha. Those fitness ones look goo though. Should've thought about getting some haha maybe looking at the tree this time would have made me want to go work out lol.

    To all veterans...

With just 50 lbs down, I KNOW what you mean. Just 3 months ago, I remember not being able to fall asleep because I had a double chin, fat that was strangling me when I layed down. And walking to my car would make me tired.

    To all veterans...

Thanks for being honest. I think the only way we can start to be better about it is to recognize it, so bein honest with yourself is at least a step!

    To all veterans...

I could definitely see myself becoming a fattist! But I'm goin to keep trying not to be. And like you said, some of it is simply some useless jealousy of not being able to eat that the whole burger that tastes sooo good. Or sometimes not even be able to tolerate even one bite.

    To all veterans...

I think in beginning to get that. Both in bad and good. I can't remember the last time men saw me walking by at the mall, or grocery store. I've always felt invisible. And now, I'm starting to notice some looking at me as I walk by, like I'm no longer so invisible. On the other hand, I have lost a friend recently because we had an argument after I told her that I couldn't eat the cupcake she brought me, she flipped, saying that I'm becoming like those skinny b who don't eat anything but leaves. But I know it is sooooo not true. It's so hard for me not to deviate, because I'm still very fat, mentally! But I just figured, if she couldn't understand, then we were not meant to be friends!

    Cream Soup Recipes?

Thank you! I will definitely browse there!
  19. I had my post op appointment with my surgeon yesterday and I told him that I was averaging at about 500 to 700 calories a day. He responded that I should try to eat more. I said how much more? And he said I can get all the way up to 1000 if i can. But I just found that weird because I still am early out of surgery. I haven't even been out for 3 months yet. I thought 1000 calories was what vets usually had... Hmmm...
  20. You have just described me and my whole life. And I can relate soooooo much. And truthfully, It scares me much, that obsessive part of me. It's always going all the way, or nothing at all. It is frightening! I hope you find your balance. And that each and everyone one of us in the same addiction boat find our balance as well.
