  1. Wonderful! :-) I can't wait to start dropping jean sizes too!
  2. I've read that a lot of people on here don't even want to eat bread anymore or other "bad" food, etc... but I still do. I can't stomach anything more than some Soup, some Popsicles, so of course, I don't want to hurt myself and eat bad stuff, But I still want them. I'm craving something different every day. I want fries. I want a burger. I want some Chili's Honey chicken Chipotle. I want cupcakes! I know they are bad for me, I know the commitment I made, I know all of that. But I hear so many people say that they don't crave that stuff anymore, so why do I? :-(

    I'm sad :-(

Lol. Thanks. I'll just try to hold on until they go away...

    Need a bit of guidance

I felt that hunger feeling also. And just yesterday and the day before I had the hiccups during the evening as well as gas. Horrible feeling. Ugh. Not fun. And I haven't really been tolerating many things that I've been trying. However surprisingly enough, when I try something that makes me feel bad, I have a sugar free Popsicle, and feel better almost instantly! Lol, I don't know if its mental, or if it's actually because the Popsicle is good in some way, but you might wanna try a Popsicle :-)

    Drinking while Eating

Hmmm. Ok. Thanks! So is it safe to assume that no one here was able to get all the protein in during week 1-2 post op?

New to page 6 weeks out

Congratulations! I love hearing about positive changes like that! :-)
  9. Hi guys, I wanted to write this topic here and see if anyone is experiencing the same thing, or have some advice.... Some background info: I was sleeved last Friday. Day 1: Nausea, barely getting ice chips in Day 2: Nausea, no ice chips, just a few sips of Water Day 3: Nausea, a few sips of water and 3tbsp of clear chicken broth Day 4: Litte to No Nausea , some more broth, ice chips, water, all fine, but gas & back pain Day 5: No nausea, ice chips, water, ½ of unjury chicken Soup serving, more water, still gas & back pain Day 6: Same as day 5, however, a bit different--- what I wanted to write about: SO here is my problem today, day 6… I’m able to have water, some unjury chicken soup, some ice chips, but when I do, I get a feeling that I’m so full, it almost HURTS, so I stop… but 5 minutes later, I feel like I’m STARVING… So I try one spoon of soup, and I get that feeling again that I’m full and need to stop… And again, less than 5 minutes later, I feel empty again, I feel like I’m STARVING again! What’s going on? Am I simply mistaking the hunger feeling for something else? Maybe gas? Or something? Or am I really supposed to just have one teaspoon of something every 5 minutes to not be hungry? I just don’t know my stomach anymore…

    6 days post-op, and HUNGRY

    Thanks! I will.
  11. My doctor said to me "the more I walk, the better". Everyone keeps saying that. But what is the minimum ? Nobody will tell me. Is it a few walks to the bathroom? Is it 5 mins of walking a few times a day? one hour walk maybe? I'm not trying to do the bare minimum for my weight loss, but i'm very tired since my surgery 5 days ago, and right now I can only do so much walking before I feel so tired and sit back down. So that's why I want to know if at least I'm doing enough? Or barely? :-/ I am going to exercice more, and I'm sure my energy level will get better as I get Protein in, but I just want to know, what is enough right after surgery?

    Eating like a mad woman.

I had horrible nausea day 1,2,3. But it went away on day 4, however I couldn't get much fluid in. And today, day 5, I got a little bit more fluid in but I'm starting to feel more gas and have horrible back and shoulder pain. But honestly, I'm glad the nausea is gone, it was the worst. So I think I'm doing pretty ok and I'm looking to better and better days :-)

    Eating like a mad woman.

Before starting my pre-op, I did the same if not worse. I felt disgusting afterwards... I had more meals than necessary and stuffed myself whether I was alone or not. But other than feeling disgusted about myself and gaining a few more pounds before pre-op, I don't think it affected me in a bad way, I still did very good in my pre-op
  14. Omg... I just had 2 teaspoons of chocolate frosty! I was just sitting on the couch watching TV and mom came and sat right next to me with a chocolate frosty. I couldn't resist and demanded she pass it over. I'm not proud but, I could've done much worst, so if there's an upside to this I guess this is it. But I still feel bad an need to be careful not to awaken my crazy food monster that I've been starving since preop. I'm merely 5 days post op... *sigh*
  15. I'm 3+ days post op and came home today. 2 out of my 5 wounds/scars are bleeding and I asked about this but my nurse said it's fine, and I can shower with it, and to just pat it dry. I'm a bit scared anyway though, I've never had surgery before so I don't know really what's good or suspecting for wounds after surgery. Any advice? How were your wounds?

Tired of women leaving me for the "cute skinny guy"

I refused to give a childhood love a chance not too long ago because he was so skinny that it felt weird hugging him... all I could feel were bones, and it wasn't even a really tight hug. I know that it sounds so bad of me, and that is precisely why this is the first time I'm admitting this to anyone. I have even battled with myself about this, telling myself that he's such a sweetheart and it's wrong to have that being a deal breaker.... buy unfortunately it was... all this to say, skinny is NOT always what everyone wants... saying that size doesn't matter is not always honest... maybe you don't care that she's morbidly obese, or maybe you don't care that she's super underweight, but many people do... now, once your love for someone grows to be deeper than the average, you probably won't put much thought into whether or not she gains or loses, but one thing's for sure: most people will need a certain physical attraction at first to be able to allow those deeper emotions to grow. unless of course you met online or something.... I feel I'm starting to ramble here and deviate from the subject. I'm very sorry about your experiences and I hope that it was just a coincidence, being that you mentioned those 3 to be serious relationships. Anyway I'm sure they weren't the ones for you no matter your size. But don't dwell on the past, we are looking forward, so chin up, and embrace the positive things you are doing for yourself! Forward!
  17. I've been nauseous since getting sleeved 4 days ago, except for today, I felt no nausea at all... However, this evening, I figured, since I'm on clear liquids, I'll try to get more protein in by having the isopure.... I don't think it's a coincidence, but as soon as I had a sip of the isopure, I got nauseous again... :-( anybody have that? I thought everyone was supposed to tolerate isopure... :-/ *sigh*...

    catheter?

It was not uncomfortable at all while it was there, but it was very uncomfortable coming out; however, that uncomfortable pain only lasted about 5 seconds lol... The other part I didn't like about it, was that it was hard to urinate after it was removed, which was after 24hours. When I say it was hard, I mean that I felt I needed to pee, but it took a lot of concentration and patience before accomplishing that goal lol... I guess my body had already forgotten how to urinate already in 24 hours, and I had to reteach it lol.... Don't know if I'm the only one, but that was my experience... Honeslty, before surgery, that was one of the things I was super scared of, but all in all, it wasn't all that bad... I'd rather go through that again than to have the post op nausea I had.

    ISOPURE = NAUSEA?

Talk about an inconvenience! So how did you get protein in during clear liquid stage? I'm only able to get the unjury chicken soup... and water of course...
  20. Oh, and have a safe flight tomorrow! :-)
  21. The only way I was able to get the protein in was with one packet of the Unjury clear chicken soup... It sat well enough with me, I had half during breakfast, and the other half during lunch time...
  22. Today, I got 18 ounces of water and 20 ounces of protein...
  23. lol! Yes, exactly!!! are you able to get enough liquid in throughout the day?
  24. so today was my 4th day post op, and I actually feel better! The nausea is reduced to "little to none". The way I've been feeling the last couple of days, I never thought i'd see the day where i'd be nausea-free. The only thing though, is that I still can't have much to drink.. I can't describe the feeling, but it's not a feeling of "I'm full", it's more like a "is this hunger? or am I going to throw up? what is this?" everytime I drink something, it's that unfamiliar feeling I get that I can't quite explain... :-/

    Surgery while in school

I am in school and taking 3 classes. Fortunately enough, I don't have school on Fridays, so I made sure my surgery was on Friday, that way I would have all weekend at the hospital. But I am not feeling up to it today so I sent my professor a message saying that I can't make it to class. I don't have school on Tuesday, so when I go back this Wednesday, I will have only missed one day of school.
