  1. Haha, yeah, sounds a lot like me right now... It is like a chore! So now you don't measure and track proteins so religiously??? I have trouble seeing the future...
  2. I agree that I live not being able to eat too much. But I can't agree that I love going to restaurants and not focusing on food. As a matter of fact, when I was not watching my diet, I focused more on my friends, and conversation, because I would not think about it, I would just listen, talk, and in between, just eat whatever was in front of me, and drink whatever was there. Whereas now, I am so focused on studying the menu, thinking to myself "what should I order", and when the food comes, I'm focused on "how many grams of protein might that be?" and other little details like that. I'm still very focused on food, just in another way now. Maybe it's because my sleeve is still pretty new and I'm not quite used to it enough, but I find that that is how it's been for me, eating out.

    Possible Tmi - Period Question....

I was just about to post the same. I have pcos and irregular periods, but it's been over 7 weeks since I had my period, and it's been a few days I've been spotting (but darker color than usual) and my period has yet to come. Ugh. :-(

    Why?

I posted a thread about this a few weeks ago. I fee the exact same way, and to my surprise, many other people do as well. We are just so used to being fat, losing a bit, gaining again, losing and gaining... It takes a while for or brain to catch up, it takes more weight loss for us to feel differently. And I think that we are so used to feeling fat, being fat, that mentally, we still see that part of us. We still see the same thin in the mirror, even if you changed sizes. I still feel that way too, but just slightly less fat. Lol. Before and after pics are the best in that case. Just hold on, I'm sure the feeling will eventually decrease. :-)

    Mfp: Average Weekly Intake

Thanks for replying :-) I do have insulin resistance. I'm trying to keep my carbs down. One problem I find I'm having is eating "real food". I have been eating cheese, Protein bars, Protein shake, Greek yogurt, etc... As far as having real meals, like poultry, seafood, veggies, etc..., I don't know what it is, I guess it's easier for me to do what's easier... :-/
  7. I was just curious, for those of you who use myfitnesspal, what are you averaging at weekly and how far postop are u? I'm surprised I'm averaging at 600 a day right now. This week, I had: Fat: 114g Carbs: 280g Sugars: 103g Protein: 269g

    Call me <evil> but...

Omg, I thought I was the only one. I had a list of people I look forward to seeing once I lose more weight. People who have commented the same exact way about my weight, my dieting, and all that! I just can't wait, hehe *evil laugh*
  9. This morning, I stepped on the scale, and looked. The scale slowly went up from 0 to 190, 195, 197, 198, and it got slower an slower, and said 199.8. My heart started racing, and in a split second, the scale stopped at 200.0. I was sooooo close!!! I have never been this close to Onederland in years!!!! But I don't feel bummed out because it stopped at 200.0, instead, I feel so excited, and happy, and motivated, and alive! Lol. I love my sleeve! Even though it has been SO hard for me, being a food addict, every day that I get trough it, is an amazing achievement to me, and I'm grateful o have ha the courage to go through with the surgery and this new way of life. Very soon, this 200.0 will be history and I will be under 200 once again :-) and this time, I pray it's for good!

    Sleeved Sept 26th

Hey there! I was sleeved just one day after you, on Sept 27th! Things are starting to get better for me too. I noticed that drinking fluids have gotten SO much better, I barely even think that I'm "sipping". It used to be so painful. I'm also not getting enough Water nor Protein. I'm averaging at about 500 calories a day now, and having about 30 to 40 ounces of water (ugh, it's hard!). As for protein, I'm getting about 40 to 50 grams of protein a day... But I was told to work my way up to between 60 to 100 grams a day. But when I saw my doctor, he told me to just keep focusing on water intake and to have whatever I can as far as protein, and not beat myself up too much. As far as physically, I'm doing BAD with exercising. I haven't walked enough, let alone exercising. My days haven't been sedentary as much as before, but it's still very bad for what I'm supposed to be doing. I haven't walked a mile yet! I'm ashamed and upset at myself for that Other than that, my scars are still super pink, but completely closed up! Yay. I haven't gotten any pain around my abdomen for about 2 weeks, except for YESTERDAY, when I had this horrible sharp pain around the biggest incision, that kinda felt like gas, but it went away after a little while, so I suppose it was nothing serious. What about you?
  16. I believe that puts at 52% loss zenandnow! If I'm correct lol :-) just thought I'd help GG out with all this math she's been doing for us lol.
  17. Yup, me too. Started counting from pre-op liquid diet, which started one week from surgery.
  18. Haha, that's a good point :-)
  19. I'm also averaging at about 500 calories a day. I'm a little over 6 weeks post op. my doc also said to worry more about getting enough Water in and secondly about getting protein.
  20. Haha, I thought it was just me. I'm 6weeks post op and I'm still freezing. I'm cold everywhere, all the time. I have to have a jacket or sweater everywhere with me, even in the house. Lol. I guess it's the calorie deficit we are having.
  21. Aw I'm sorry you aren't losing as fast. But to be fair, I didn't lose 38lbs since surgery. I lost 23. It's just that I had a one week pre op diet and lost 15lbs that week before surgery. But I always just count the total amount of weight I lost for the procedure, one week pre op and post. Which total to 38lbs. So truthfully, it seems that we lose at about the same pace. Hang in there. We'll be fine.
  22. By the way, VERY smart way of approaching this weight loss thing!!!
  23. Laura-ven, I have an even 100lbs to lose also... SW 240 CW 202 GW 140 So I guess that makes 38% loss? I'm 6 weeks out. Now I'd like to know the average % of loss in certain stages (after how long). :-)
  24. Wow, congratulations!! You look amazing! I also started with 100lbs to lose. I keep thinking I won't lose all the weight :-( even now... I'm surprised whenever I lose any weight. I know I should be more positive but I can't help just thinking that there'll come a day, not too far from now, when I'll just stop losing... * sigh * It is always an inspiration to see success like yours!
