    Hungry Every Two Hours

I'm not sure how many calories we SHOULD be having around 6 weeks out, but I was averaging at about 500. And now I'm averaging at about 600. I heard that if u drink too soon after eating, you will be hungry much faster. So if u are drinking soon after, wait a little longer. Also, I totally understand you, because I too am always hungry. If anything, I get hungry much more than before the surgery. I'm glad that at least I get full quickly without being able to pig out on something. I do take the but it's not acidity. It's definitely hunger for me.
  2. I need some advice. Anyone has gone on a cruise so soon after surgery? I don't know what I should be eating? All I eat now is Greek yogurt, babybel, premier Protein, and some other protein drinks/bars. I'm still not used to my sleeve and havent really been eating "real" food. The cruise is in a few weeks (about 4) and I'm starting to freak out a little.

Cruise At 3 Months Post Op! Help!

When you put it like that, it does not sound like a big deal I guess. I am a food addict and I am scared that not logging my food in mfp will make me cheat more and make bad choices. And also, ever since my surgery, every single pound i lose, i always think will be the last pound i lose! i guess I'm traumatized by my history with weight. I just need to get over that i guess. But you are right, I've been on some cruises in the past, and (not that I ever ate from there often), I did see a lot of healthy choices available. My family also said the same, to just relax and forget about numbers and just make good choices. I don't disagree with you, so I'm going to try an stop stressing about that! Thank you for your input. It's kinda been a family tradition for years; we always go on a cruise each year! But it's mostly been to the Caribbean. Your cruise sounds amazing! :-) and 16days! Wow. I hope you have a blast when it comes!
  4. Me too!!! I always think each pound is my last. I cannot help it. I keep saying "that's it, I've reached my stall, I'm not going to lose anymore, this is as best as it gets.

Cruise At 3 Months Post Op! Help!

Thanks! I've been thinking about this, and I realized that I have grown to be dependent of myfitnesspal, and I have not gone a day without logging food in since my surgery. So I'm terrified of being left with only myself to calculate what I eat. I will not have it of course, because Internet is very expensive on cruises so I cannot afford that. But I am terrified of not being able to use it every time I eat. How do I go about that? I keep thinking. I don't know how many grams of Protein are in each thing. I know, I'm a little obsessed with knowing the protein count of everything.

  12. I am going through something similar. I'm losing 1.5 to 2lbs a week now, whereas it used to be 3 to 4 or even 4.5 lbs before. Sleeved sept 27th.

    Out On The Table

Haha, good point. I'm not one of these people who are pissed to be hungry, I just expected less hunger lol. And really and truly, my only concern is that I grow hungrier with time, eat more, and gain weight again! I'm traumatized!

    Out On The Table

Butter mentioned this, but I would like to emphasize: hunger does not go away for everyone with the sleeve. Mine not only didn't go away, but came back stronger than before. I am very hungry about every two hours or so. I do get filled up very quickly because of the sleeve of course, but the hunger is there before eating, SO THERE. So don't believe that just because you get the sleeve, you will never feel very hungry. It depends on the person.

  23. Yuuuuuup. *(Raising my hand)* I definitely fall under the hungry category. I got my real hunger back on day 5 after surgery. And I mean real hunger. I've been hungry ever since, very very often. Thankfully though the hunger goes away after a few small bites of something...

    Tips On Alcohol...

So it isn't so dangerous to have a little alcohol so early out? Weeks, etc..? I know it's bad for the diet we are on, but can it actually hurt you? Anyone?
