Lying about Weight Loss Surgery !
MimiBronxNY replied to sarahzamudio1091's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can totally understand your point of view. But don't you think that your opinion is based on societies racism towards obese people. You should be proud of yourself like I am. We ALL SHOULD BE PROUD!! WE LOOKED IN THE MIRROR AND SAID NO MORE!! Having the surgery isn't a quick fix! It's just a wonderful assistant! If you do the work! My doctor told me from the start surgery is only a third. The rest is exercise and eatting. On 10/23/2013 I was 325 pounds. I am currently 258 pounds. In addition, I have witness someone not do all three things and not see the success I have. I guess I hope from hearing my story you should feel proud about yours. I am so proud that i had wls. I am able to look at my future and have kids. My sleeve's name is La Fortuna (the future). And THAT'S WHAT WE GAVE OURSELVES!! A JOYOUS AND HUMBLING FUTURE -

No they are just as bad. In addition, your lunh capacity is less and right now you run the risk of pneumonia. So with that being said every time you think of smoking use that lovely breathing toy. Remember nicotine slows the healing process as well. -

MimiBronxNY replied to linda305's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
He's absolutely correct. I only lost 15 pounds and it was under a month.. I had Water weight from not having my menstruation. After that the pounds came off. In addition, you may be losing inches. Hang in there.. -

I feel the same exact way. I am 2 months 2 weeks and 3 days out. I feel AMAZING!! I even named my new stomach. (La FORTUNA.. the future) Congratulations to YOU!! And try not to eat starch just yet. Remember after your surgery its like a reset button to your metabolism for up to the next 18 months. Then it levels out. Now You don't want to slow down your metabolism with a lot of starchy foods. I understand that craving but just go back to your motivation to curb those potato thoughts. Wishing EVERYONE MUCH SUCCESS IN YOUR JOURNEY -
I am going to walk 30 minutes a day, walk up the stairs everyday when I come home from work and complete 20 leg lunged's.
