  1. I got a fill yesterday.. from 1.6 to 1.9 I am right back where I wanna be I took a drink of grape juice at noon and I FELT IT! I was able to sip three ounces of tomatoe Soup just now with the restriction I have come to be in love with. BLISS. NOW, we will see what happens tonight (I am a person who opens up alot at night) My last fill I lost 31 pounds in 2 months..(ug to oct) then I gained a pound the last month (oct to nov) and NOW I am filled again to that sweet spot for me and I BET I loose a bunch again! I am just so happy.. for a few weeks cravings and such had come back and I wasnt happy.. NOW I am ok again,

    we can get people on the moon but we cant figure this out it CANT be so difficult There are amazing and incomprehensible medical procedures out there that take place.. (heart and brain surgeries to name two.. Its BULLCRAP

    For me, its a choice.. to eat OR to drink. I can drink all I want (at night) before I eat. But drinking while or after just causes me the pain that makes me have to stop. I usually choose liquids becasue A serving of lasangue just isnt worth not being able to drink anything for three hours. I wont even have like a milkshake or Soup because it will limit my intake of my milk and juice. I am addicted to liquids. I used to consume a gallon of milk and or juice MINIMUM per day... Now its alot less.. Right now I am on a chocolate milk kick and very pissed at myself about it.. I might not get the nutrients i need, especially when i get filled more. I have plans to be good in January.. and if I cant be, than I dont know what to do about this whole band and addiction to milk and juice,

    Prednisone & weight gain

    I am like addicted to prednisone. NOthing makes me feel better. BUT, I have been a good girl in the last year with it as I developed a quazie motto lump on my back and it scared me straight.. Just today I called my doctor and left this messege "can I have 5, 20ml Prednisones for christmas,..... I have lost 75 pounds" I hoped the wieght loss would convince him.. AND IT DID!! I kinda forgot until My sister brought me the pills last night .. and it was LIKE the BEST Christmas gift ever. lol I have not slept yet just so I can take one this morning. (I am too tight upon waking to take crushed pills even) If I took one last night I would be all energetic and ready to go by now and NO kids are about to get up and go out with me until at least noon. I woke up yesterday at 1pm thinking it was like 10am and wrecked all day and scrared of how to manage the rest of this season.) Now, I am soon to be well again.

    I do this all the time. I wait till morning and take a big gulp of liquid.. of course I always feel it and then i am releived and assured i still am banded. I am PISSED at the night time LACK of Restriction.. I really am.

  9. However, if you are a self-pay with limited resources, or your only option is Mexico, don't do it. The initial approximate $10,000 is nothing in comparison to what an emergency procedure might cost. Be prepared - the band is a very expensive tool for the rich and/or insured. >>>>>>>>>>>.this makes me almost feel like crying.. BUT if I lose my band before I am healthier. and I gain the weight back.. I WILL prolly kill myself and thats not an exaggeration. I already made this descision when I knew it was a possibility to die of complications of the gastric bypass.. Then when I didnt think I could lose the prereque weight for the band.. IF this doesnt help.. I REFUSE TO be a burdon on my kids and family any more! I dont think its a bad thing and I will be sure they all think its a tragic car accident is all to minimize their pain. I have been in over 5 at fault accidents. so.. Lol anyway..

This is how I proove I am loosing weight: Two lumps on my lower right leg are alot smaller (were pretty deforemed before) My left upper arm has this undescribeable ledge.. like hard bump thing..it hirt when people touched the area..(kinda like that hard area below the back and above the butt some of us get) Well, its all soft and flabby now. I had this stomach roll directly under my breasts, it has a crease down the middle and looked like a second set of boobs (B cups)... NOW, the crease is like 75% gone and now boobie looking at all.. and the whole blob is like 6 inches lower.. My big scar (where the band went in, was just under my breasts and now its ALOT lower. Plus I can fit in my kids shoes now.. we wear size 8-9... but they were too tight (I had to wear 11's) and now I can wear the size I was (8) before I got all obese..

    do I need an unfill?

    when I am really nice and tight, its mashed potaotes that I call my solids and they go down nicely and I eat them almost daily.. I was surprised to hear some cant tolerate them.,

    Sherbert

    When I am tight.. I just live on lite sherbert for a treat... and I lost 30 pounds in 2 months, having sherbert every day.. But I reccomend lite.. (and lime.. lol) I would think its OK.. Sorbet is better though.

I am NOT looking to cause trouble This is for me to look at my diet. (not a good one!) October 7th 10:30 am......woke..went grocery shopping and to doctors found out I lost 31 pounds in 33 days. 1:00.....3 ounces OJ (non sweetened in a can) 3:45......whole can tomatoe Soup (with milk) and 6 ounces of milk. (1%) 6pm.....6 ounces OJ 11pm .........prolly 20 nacho chips with 3 ounces of jar cheese sauce and prolly about 1/4 cup of layered dip...(nothing low fat or diet) 6 ounces of milk. 1% A slice of rasberry cheesecake... and 6 ounces of milk 1% (kid brought it around.. dingdang it) 1/2 cup lite lime sherbert (bought it and wanted a taste) 12 ounces OJ (unsweetened) 2:45am....3 fish fillets (breaded.. junk kind, frozen) 10 to 15 cups (6 ounces each) October 8th 10am............3 ounces unsweetened OJ 12:20............two bites popcorn ball, 4 circus animal Cookies, 2oz. oj 4:30.............large KFC mashed potatoes and gravy, 3/4 small root beer float. 8pm.............Hot Pocket (lean) spit out the bread. 12 ounces OJ 9;30..........4 drinks full sugar grape juice. 11pm........11 nacho chips, 1/4 cup layered bean dip, 2 ounces cheese sauce. 12 ounces chocolate milk (1% AND NESQUICK, sugar free.) 12pm......1 cup lite lime sherbert 1pm........12 ounces 1% milk, 6 ginger snap cookies also.... 3 drinks OJ, two jelly halloween candies. Booooooooooooooo Hisssssssssssssssssss This cant continue..

    two bites of a buretto my daughter had 12 ounces of eggnog for the whole day 12 ounces of LITE sunny delight for the whole day 16 ounces of grape drink for the day three servings of reses peanutbutter puff cerial with 2 cups 2% milk and fourth a pint of heavy whipping cream One Jimmy Dean sausage biscuit with cheese and egg about one cup of sweet and salty chex mix few more drinks of milk GREAT NEWS I sold my camper.... and I screduled a fill for next week!! I SURE NEED ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am happy again.

    2nd fill was a total nightmare!

    My needle is always left in.. by the two good fill docs.. (the bad one had me drink Water AFTER the fill) But the others had me drink the barium or the water while the needle was still in and they were watching me or the screen very closely.

    OK,so now I feel really stupid..

    Ohhhh man.. that sounded terrible.. Babs, thanks for sharing, thats a good description! I surely hope it doesnt happen to me!!! (but it prolly will) I am getting a fill next week cuz I been able to eat turkey sandwitches and everything!! (and gaining weight) I figured I had a nice thanksgiving.. I dont need the christmas meal.. I always hated the idea of these two huge meals one month after another anyway.

    2pm.. 6 bites of tomatoe soup 2 ounces milk sprinkle of parm later: 5 nacho chips from taco bell half the little container of cheese sauce small rootbeer float from A&W half of a large mashed potaotes and gravy from KFC 4 reses peanutbutter cups 12 ounces milk baked chicken (prolly 2 ounces) stove top stuffing (1/3 cup) lots of chicken fat and oil involved here 30 ounces milk I am sick with myself. I really cant stand listing this But I have to.. I need a fill real bad. I am sad.

    I would encourage you to begin logging the grams of Protein, fat, and carbohydrates you are eating. >>>>>>>I know this like second nature.. I dont really need to keep track anymore.. Calories, fat and carbs that is.. it takes me a long time to log it all on fitday, so I just come here sometimes to list what I had so I have a record I can look back on...   21. My health care is costing medicade more each year than the one time cost of the lapband and everyone of my healthcare issues costing them each year is Obesity related.. FOOLS!

    Thanksgiving Dilema

    I was able to pig out.. have more later.. eat many pie and it wasnt the middle of the night time!! (i cant usually eat much till late night) cuz my band swelled, my fill isnt nearly where it needs to be!! (had to have some of my fill taken out) I weighed today and i am still the same BUT i bet it catches up to me soon NOW.. i think i have figured something out.... if your ACTIVE, your band is less tight.. If you lay around all day... its tighter! thats the only explanation on why i was able to eat thankgiving dinner at 3pm (all i wanted) and i couldnt do anything close before or after!!! i am glad i got to enjoy thankgiving meal, even if it WAS A total accident.. lol
