Second Slip = 3rd Lap Band

Hi, No, I've already had my band replaced in Dec 06 to a VG band. I never lost any weight with the second band, even with fills up to 8-9cc. I feel alot better knowing that I tried twice and gave it all I had. Now, I'll have to work on it even harder and use whatever tools I can find to help me. Thanks for your encourgment.

Second Slip = 3rd Lap Band

Hi, In answering your question, Yes, my insurance does pay for it because it is a surgery that is not elective, I have to have it repaired or out. Actually, I just returned earlier this afternoon from having my lap band removed. I feel sore but relieved. I plan on increasing my exercise program and possibly going back to Weight Watchers as I know that it does work. Thanks for your concern and God's speed in your endevors.

Second Slip = 3rd Lap Band

Kim, Yes, they also sewed my band to my stomach but for some reason it has slipped for the second time. The first time, I had my band for a year, lost 75 lbs and then in Dec 06' Dr. said it slipped and replaced it with a VG band. I had up to 8cc/10cc band with minimal restriction. Went and got a barrium swallow last week and thats when they discovered the slip. I know there are new types of lap bands out there now, so I am still thinking of what to do next. Thank you for your post.
  6. On monday I will be seeing my Dr. to discuss if I will be having a third band put in or what. I am so depressed right now. Any encouragement would be appreciated.:help:
