Good luck! I can't believe there are so many of us at the same time. It's a good feeling. I'm on day 6 of my pre op diet and had pre op assessment yesterday. All ready to go now!!

Ah ok, thanks. I have MS and injected myself with medication for 7 years so hopefully that will be ok. Liquid painkillers make sense. I'm having my op at the Nuffield in Brentwood. About 60 miles from home but it's all good. How are you feeling now? Cathy -

Hi everyone. I'm getting sleeved on 12th November at Nuffield Brentwood with Mr Koak. My pre op slimfast diet starts on 29th. I am very excited but also nervous. My husband is great but he's a feeder and is getting very twitchy about me eating small meals. I have secondary progressive MS and still work part time, as he's retired he's the chef. -
I'm in the southeast of the UK. The NHS that covers the area where I live will only fund the bypass so I decided to self pay for my VSG.

How was your recovery from surgery? I'm taking a month off but I don't know if I'll be strong enough to go back to work by then. It would be great to have some relief from the fatigue. -

I really hope you don't have it, but if you do please know it's not the end. There's loads of support out there. Please keep me updated. Cathy x -
Hi everyone. I'm in the UK and haven't got access to such a wide range of protein shakes as those of you in the US. I've been recommended Syntrax Nectar. Has anyone tried it and what do you think? Thanks xx

Hi, I have secondary progressive MS and want to have a better quality of life. That is why I'm going to have VSG surgery in November. Your friend may well be relapsing/remitting (as I was for 16 years). If so she needs to talk to her neuro to understand possible additional problems. -

Hi everyone. I saw my surgeon yesterday and my operation is scheduled for 12th November. I have a question. The company I am paying to do the VSG for me provide a years aftercare. Is that enough? Thank you

Yay! I cannot wait now, just got my pre op info via email. I'm speaking to a dietician tomorrow :-)
