Are beans okay on soft food diet?

Yummy....sounds delish right now. I know you have had responses to the bean question, but I just had to say you made me drool a little bit

    Awake and Alive! :)

My doc ordered Mylicon drops (infant gas drops) for the hospital and home. Also ordered Levsin/hycosamine for stomach cramping......these two things got me through the first 5 days when things were bad. I have hardly had any surgical pain though. Congrats and good luck
  3. Just wondered if anyone has frozen a protein shake and ate it like ice cream? It seems like a reasonably good idea....doesn't it?
  4. Oh, that is a GREAT idea because I am getting tired of SF popsicles.
  5. I wonder why they say not to freeze? I used to work at a nursing home and we would freeze ensure for the residents....so I thought it seemed logical.

    One week post op!

Congrats!! How Awesome for you. I am a week post-op tomorrow. I had a rough time with dinner tonight...just wanted to chew something, you know? One more week of liquids for me...........
  7. I figured you did, but I just thought if they were itchy it might give you some relief to clean them again...and you can rub a washcloth on them.
  8. We had surgery the same day, and mine aren't bothering me....sorry. I have Steri strips over mine though. Maybe if you wash them again with soap and water they will quit itching?
  9. A friend of mine had her sleeve about 10 weeks ago. For a couple weeks she didn't lose any weight, but she was still losing inches. Maybe you should do your measurements once a week (if you aren't already). It can make a difference to see those inches coming off.
  10. I also had my sleeve 9-10 and each time I have thought I felt hungry...this morning and the day after surgery. It was either gas or thirst. Hopefully that's all it is for you.

Is 4oz at once to much

I'm glad to hear this too. I had my sleeve on 9-10 and yesterday and today I have been able to drink my protein quicker. I was worried, my post op paper said 1-2 oz over an hour...but I think that's more for the first couple days when your stomach is swollen inside. Jealous of the soup though....I'm on liquids for the first 2 weeks.

Surgery Is Monday - Do I Have What I Need?

Just so you know, if you have to wear oxygen at all you can't use your vaseline or any petroleum based product.
