    Sleeve Anxiety

I found that a hard pillow held tight along with light but multiple coughs worked the best. I had a little cough afterwards that I thought would kill me. Your stomach and incisions will be fine but it hurts like hell.
  3. How do you define a stall? Specifically bouncing within X amount of pounds for more than X days. How do you define a "slow loser?" Specifically, "no more than X pounds over the course of X days." I'm a quantitative kind of guy and like to know my numbers. -HL

    Will Depo-provera prevent weight loss?

Wrong gender to be officially weighing in on this, but I vote "go with what you know." Now's not the time to mess with forgetting your BC and if you gain 2 pounds in Water weight once a month then so be it. Chances are you'll be 100% compliant on Depo but chance missing doses on the pill. I hear the ladies become insanely fertile because of all the hormonal changes, so you don't want that.

    Cheated with veggies

There a lot worse ways to cheat! Eat them more frequently so you can kill the craving and still get your Protein in. Win win.

    Pre op liquid diet

The beginning was the worst. As surgery gets closer it becomes much easier. You're out of the worst of it now!

    OMG I'M BORED!

I'm 9 days out, recovering very very well after a ROUGH start. I'm dying to go to the gym and get on an elliptical. Does anyone know if an elliptical is safe? The treadmill is so boring.

    seroquel preventing weight loss

I'm starting to think I'm a slow loser. I take 100mg nightly. It's just not biologically possible for me to not lose weight at 700 calories a day seroquel or not.

    Recurring Hiatal Hernia

I'm not a doctor, but I've heard of this. Ask your surgeon. Ask why it happened. Ask what the chances of it recurring again are. I know my hiatle was "fixed" with just a few stitches between my stomach and diaphragm so the method of fixing may have been undone by the removal (?). Good luck.
  16. ICE. Pour over ice. I had a few before I bought a ton and they were ok so I bought more. MAN are my senses out of wack because the DO smell rotten sometimes. I found pouring them over ice made big difference for me. I think it diluted it a bit and got me out of the mindset. I had to give away all the expensive Protein shots I bought. They were the WORST.

I came home and they said do clear for ONE more day then you can go to whole liquids. I tracked time from there.

I wanna guzzle down a bottle of water!

I know the urge. I know it's not what you want to hear, but the more you drink all day long the less thirsty and less of a desire it will be.

    Switching surgeons

I'm so sorry to hear that. It must be incredibly frustrating. Are you on the top of the waiting list? Will your insurance approval transfer? That's the first step. Also, you may have to go through a new doctor's "program" as well. May be more work than it's worth. I think I made it through my process as fast as humanly possible without self-paying and it still took 5 months.

    I got food-policed at 7.5 months out :(

I'm so sorry to hear your husband is doing this. While I'm sure he thinks he's only helping, I'm sure you want to smack him. I agree with the poster that said to turn the tables on him. Ask him every day what his weight is or check it on the scale and discuss it with him and the decisions he made the previous day that could have contributed to his weight. IT IS 100% PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE, but when "jokin" talking about it and a "serious" talking to don't work I absolutely support stooping to his level

    How bad is the nausea?

Day 1 and 2 were pretty bad. I'll be honest. I smacked a nurses hand when she waved a alcohol pad in front of me! Get out of my way I'm gonna puke! The Zonfran wasn't working at all, so it turned out to be that I'm REALLY sensitive to dilaudid, so when we changed the pain med the nausea went away and never came back.
