Laughing cow cheese doesn't have enough protein in it to make you feel full. You might need to find foods or shakes that are more dense with a substantial amount of protein.

Also not having specific information on your medically supervised visits. I had to coach my PCP because after I read his first note I knew it wouldn't be enough for the insurance company. They don't do this everyday so don't be afraid to coach him/her. I even wrote my letter of medical clearance and he was more than happy that I did it for him. He signed off on everything. My information was sent in to the insurance today so I'm praying for an approval.

I asked my surgeon's office because I was in the same boat. She told me that it's a possibility I can get denied if I go under the BMI and I also heard they go by the original weight. I never got confirmation from the insurance company because I didn't lose.

I have Cigna and I just completed my three months. Not only is there no way around it you actually have to go 4 times becasue they count the first visit at 0 then your next visit is counted as the first month, etc. Do everything they say to avoid a denial. Make sure it's with your PCP because your PCP is the one who writes the medical clearance.

I will be submitting to the insurance Company (Cigna) tomorrow and I have been on edge. In a few months this anxiety will be a blur for both of us

I am pre op and haven't experienced it. I would not be surprised if not only I have a little bit of that but also that after I have the surgery that I'll have a little bit of "what did I do to myself" but it's the most I've ever wanted of anything in my whole life. I've done a ton of research and have talked to a lot of people and it seems these feelings are universally normal but they pass. This is a huge change so your emotions are going to be all over the place. I have not told a lot of people that I'm pursuing surgery for this very reason. I'll be managing a ton of emotions, I don't want to add other stuff to it. You'll be fine and in a few months you will be posting about how awesome you feel and that it's been the best decision you've made.

Tomorrow is my last supervised visit with my pcp. I had to do 3 months and it literally flew by.

I haven't been but have heard great things. I noticed someone posted that they are heading to Mexico tomorrow for surgery. You might want to talk with her (sbarbiegirl).

I personally don't try to talk people out of their choice since it's personal decision. Not sure if that's what you're looking for. There's a RNYTalk forum. Folks here have opted for the Sleeve so if you're leaning more toward RNY you would get more input there.

I am exactly like you. Buying bariatric products, etc. I made a decision today to stop until I get the approval. I submit my information to insurance this week.
