Check out the fruit of the loom too, they have great boy shorts. My niece just bought them at walmart 5 pair for like $6 and they are really comfy according to her ~Mandy
-
All of the hanes her way panties are cheap and comfy. The best thing is if you don't love them they are at least cheap to replace. Those are pretty close to what I just bought. ~Mandy

try hanes her way boy shorts, they are low rise and have the boy cut legs, they are cute, cheap and don't freak when you open them, they shrink. ~Mandy

We just bought our home and it was all white. We looked at several places that were exactly the same but I was able to picture my colors and my stuff in this place. I was turned off by one place where everything was painted blue. (I like blue but everything was blue) We also walked away from a place that had a small dog there while we were looking. The dog barked the entire time we were there and we left without even looking in the bedrooms. I can tell you from experience that a clean good smelling home will sell faster and for more money. The first place that we made an offer on wasn't clean and it smelled funny, we made a really low offer and they accepted it, but it didn't pass our inspection. (a bathroom needed major repair that we knew about but were willing to do the work) it changed our financing options. My point is the smell and dirty dishes in the sink made us offer lower than the place was worth. I would suggest a clean cotton or mountain fresh type plug-in or if you are home a candle. It is clean not too sweet not to fruity or perfumy. The white paint can be a great seller. Good luck I hope you get every penny you are asking for. ~Mandy

I am down 74 pounds and feel great!!!! My weight loss hit a few stumbling blocks along the way but I am back on track and losing again. The only major problem I had was my gall bladder but it was bothersome preband just not enough to have it removed. After banding I had it removed and feel 100% again. I will try to get an updated picture on later today. ~Mandy

Ok, the foot is feeling better, still not 100% but much better. I updated the picture in the previous post. They are still not the best pics, but they show my weightloss a bit better than the orignals. ~Mandy

Most tattoo shops can get plastic jewlery to use during surgery. Also some places in the mall will have them. Ask your doctor if they allow any jewlery at all, some places make you take everything out, others will allow plastic only and some will allow metal as long as it is covered with tape. The best policy is to ask several weeks ahead of time so that you can be prepared. The tattoo shop may need to order something, not every place has plastic in stock. ~Mandy

I have a sister in Lexington on Highrock lake, how far is that from where you guys meet? I am considering a visit next spring to see her. I would also like to plan that visit around a NASCAR race. I go to the Joliet race here in Chicago and just have a great time. ~Mandy

I wish I could be there too. When we moved into the new place, we discovered there is a Red Robin just a few miles away. Before we had to drive almost an hour to get to one. I eat the shrimp and my band is pretty tight. I get a hot tea and that helps to open me up a bit. It's not a regular place, but we eat there a few times a month. Hope you all have a blast~Mandy

I'm not from NC but I LOVE Red Robin. The fried shrimp is fab....try it dipped in the ranch dressing. I have the onion straws in place of the fries. I have also had the nachos with chicken added and The chili chili cheese burger is yummy too. Hope you all have fun. ~Mandy

Walter & Kelley Lindstrom accepted my Case!!!!!
piercedqt78 replied to kickiegirl's topic in Insurance & Financing
They are the best, I had to fight for my approval and Kelly was honest with me and refused my money. She told me that my insurance company was very hard to beat and that they only took cases that they had a good chance of winning. She hated to tell me that I was pretty much fighting a losing battle. She said that they didn't take cases that would be next to impossible to win for concious reasons. She said that they both had to face themselves in the mirror everyday. I was amazed that they turned down my offer to mail them a check for their fees. They were honest and Kelly called to check back with me several weeks later and I had been approved. She was so exicted. They are great, and I am done rambling now, Mandy -

Susan, thanks for the very kind words. This year has been full of ups and downs, but everything happens for a reason. I am sure that there is a greater plan in place, just not sure what it is just yet. Abigale goes for her complete psych eval in a few weeks, that will tell us a ton we hope. I will keep everyone posted on her progress. As for staying focused, I have to say that my surgeon was huge in that. He is the best cheerleader ever, he called to check in on me and Abigale several times this year. He always says that even if I am maintaining I am winning with everything going on in our lives right now. He is impressed that I am losing and staying focused. I am the luckiest person in the world, I have a great family here at LBT, my reallife family and my doctor all totally supporting me. That makes it easy to stay focused. ~Mandy

My hospital put a wrist band with allergy info on the arm with the IV in it. It was a neon band and had my fungus allergy on it. Ask before you write all over yourself, if they do that there too....~Mandy

Cindy, I wish it was PS. I had to have plantar fasciitis repaired. There is a compression bandage to help with swelling and bleeding, I am in it until at least monday, possibly as long as next friday. It sucks it's bigger than a softball and I can't get it wet, so I have a cast wrap so I can shower. I also have to be careful not to pop my stitches, I did that last time, 2 years ago and it was a long healing process. I will try to take the pictures of me in my shorts that I wore home from the hospital when I was banded, tomorrow. I am off to bed, ~Mandy

excuse the leopard pants, they make my butt look bigger than it really is, but they are cute and flannel. I bought them for $1 at my favorite resale shop, they are mediums.....woohoo. I will try for better pictures later in the week when I feel like wearing regular pants and when I can get my regular pants or shorts over my my compression bandage. ~Mandy

The first pic was taken preband, Oct 2005, I was banded July 2005. The second picture was taken, Oct 2005, 10 weeks post-op. The 3rd was taken in March of this year, 7.5 months post-op. The 4th and 5 were taken today, have to excuse the way I look I had surgery on my foot this morning so my hair and make-up was the last thing on my mind today. But I wanted to document my 1 year with pictures. I hope my success inspires others to get banded or work with the band they have. ~Mandy

NSV is non scale victory. I could add more each and every day, I really LOVE my band. ~Mandy

Try ginger chews before getting out of bed in the morning or gigner tablets, that is a great natural way to rid the morning sickness, also almond slivers before getting up, it has to be before you start to stir around. I took chewable prenates, and they were sooo easy, I have never done all that well with pills including preband. ~Mandy

Those pens are surgi markers, the ones I use for piercing is made of g. violet. It washes off with alcohol or a gentle scrub with dial. You can always use a washable marker or ball point pen, that too will wash off. When my tattoo artist wants to change something in a tattoo stencil he gets out a dollar store ball point pen and draws on my skin and then tosses it in the trash, you could reuse the pen at your house because it is your skin and your germs. My doctor didn't give me any options, I wanted my port on the right side as I am left handed and I am always hitting my port with laundry baskets and such. ~Mandy

The nose piercing will hurt a bit, and the eye on the side you get pierced will tear up, totally normal. Some people say they see a bright flash of white light, I say they are seeing God. (LOL) The tongue heals really fast and is back to normal in a week or so. I tell my clients that they can come back and I will help them change the jewlery, a good shop will always be willing to help change jewlery. You don't want to go though all that and then not be able to get the jewlery in before it closes over. Having someone there to help not only makes sure the jewlery gets back in but also that you know how it works. Also make sure they use single use needles, wear gloves and also work off of a clean covered surface. If they are unwilling to answer your questions, leave and go somewhere else. ~Mandy

I am a professional body piercer, have been doing it for 10 years. THe tongue is not really painful but can swell for upto 2 weeks. If you do soft foods, nothing hot or spicy for 4 or 5 days you will be fine. I reccomend peroxyl for cleaning, it is made by colgate and doesn't burn. The random swelling I have never experienced or know anyone else that has. I have a bigger guage barbell in my tongue and have never chipped my teeth. Adk for it to be pierced back a bit further and it is much less likely to chip teeth. Most people do it for the enhancement of oral sex, I'm not sure how it would get in the way. I know that if you suck on ice the barbell retains the cold for several mins, the same with heat. That can cause a different sensation. I say go for it, but if you are doing them that close together, ask if you will get a discount if you do them both the same day, it is less set-up and break down and less time overall. I always gave a slight discount for multiple piercings. Also I would start taking viatmin E, it helps the body to heal faster. If you have any questions feel free to ask either here or in a PM. ~Mandy
