wrapping??? We exchanged gifts with half the family last night. I am glad that's over, it was the in-laws half (LOL) It was better this year, but still not great. I used to work for my Mother-in-law and that ended badly, she has a psycho business partner, and I quit sue to mental abuse from the partner. They are also roommates and if the roommate isn't invited my MIL refuses to attend, she the psycho was here yesterday. Sh tried to be pleasant and I kept my distance, they have questions about how I ran the place and who I ordered stuff from, when I was there they didn't want to learn anything, they wanted me to do it all. Now I am gone (for almost 18 months now) they want to pick my brain. I change the subject when they bring it up. They were only here a few hours and had to leave to go back to the business, it can't run without them. LOL My brother in law and sister in law were here longer, they have kids Abi's age and a few years older. Their kids trashed my house, the oldest sharpened a pencil and dropped the shavings into my carpet and left it there, the daughter that is Abi's age managed to pull a sheer canopy out of the ceiling and was caught climbing on top of a dresser to get stuff out of the top of Abi's closet. If this is how they behave here I can't imagine how they are at home. Yesterday was stressful and a very long day, today was bad too, but at least it was bad with just my family, not the in-laws too. My washer is still broke, the repair guy had to order the parts, they arrived today, he will be back wed. He too made a mess, that I had to clean. I complained to sears about him, they are sending an estimator out to repair the washer that he gouged 4 huge places in and they are going to paint my laundry room because he left a HUGE greasy hand print on my wall that I can't get out of the paint. I hate Sears, and will never buy from them again. I paid $1800 for a front load washer and dryer in June of this year, the washer is broken and they make a huge mess, promise to repair it on Tuesday and then say it will be at least wed before they can get here. I cleared the calender for tomorrow and put several things off until wed, now they are coming between 9 and 5 on wed. AGH! I have baked absolutely nothing, there will only be the 3 of us for dinner and my mom and step dad will be here late for dessert on Christmas day. I plan on staying in my Pj's for the day. Abi had her Christmas program at school tonight, it was fun but really crowded. When I convert the video to DVD sometime this week I will post a link to it, on my youtube.com account. Hope everyone has a great night, I am going to have a rum and coke, not diet, regular coke, and extra rum...nighty night. ~Mandy

A good way to avoid the mucus is too have something warm/hot about 20 to 30 mins before each meal. I usually have a hot tea of decaf coffee. The warm liquid seems to loosen and break down the goo. I am able to eat a greater variety of food after something warm. I don't seem to "slime" as often after the warm beverage. By the way, PB is productive burping. It's when something is too large or not chewed well enough to pass through the band. I usually only have this problem if I am not paying attention to what I am doing, like talking on the phone or driving and eating at the same time. It isn't really throwing up as there is no stomach acid in it, it is whatever you just ate, sometimes brought up by a burp, sometimes it takes heaving. Sorry to be graphic, but that's the facts. ~Mandy

My 5 year old has a girl in her class that is already telling the other kids that they aren't cool enough and they don't wear the right kind of clothes. The teacher and I were talking about the class and what is going on with the kids and she says it starts younger and younger every year. She also said she has had to make them stop holding hands, and she has heard them talking about who wants to kiss who.....they are 5. ~Mandy

Hey all, I only have a sec. Just wanted to say thanks for the compliments on the tree. It's a new tree and I was worried it was too slim. I bought it for our old house, and it had small windows. we bought this place over the summer and it has huge front picture windows. We can't open the blinds and light up the tree, there is a theft ring in the next town over, they are breaking in and only taking the gifts from under the trees. So far it's only been homes where the trees are on display in front of a wondow. My blinds are tightly drawn. Cindy, Abi is younger than yours but she is very mature. She got High School Musical remix the DVD, a mix stick, a cotton candy maker ($35 off of google shopping for the real deal not the toy kind) and a barbie guitar (the karaoke one). I have a ton of her music on a memory card for the mix stick so it's ready to go when she opens it. She is also getting some barbies. My mom also got her barbies and my sister got her a few v.smile games. Dave's mom got her a Mickey Mouse portable CD player and a really nice art set. I am going to check out the walmart CD. Do they send you an actual CD or do you have to burn it yourself? Gotta run I am off to my mom's my washing machine is boken and she is letting me do some laundry so we have clean undies and stuff...~Mandy

Thanks Carlene, Abi had just told Santa that he smelled like cookies, that is why he is smiling so big. He was one of our ladies on the holiday committee's dad. He was great with each and every kid. We also had a teen that dressed up like the Grinch but Abi was $afraid of him, so he wasn't in the pic. We made these cute little penguins out of bowling pins, I will post a pic of that tonight when I have a free moment. ~Mandy

The Emo kids here don't actually do cutting, but they make scratches, so it looks like they do. ~Mandy

screamO is exactly what is sounds like it is....bands that scream ExtemeO is really really hardcore what used to be called death metal, still screaming but the people in the audience fight..... This is a sorta combo of screamO and extremeO, I know some of the kids in this video, they are my nieces friends. The "dance" that the boys are doing is called two-steppin' cowboys would roll over in their graves..... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0FmvHHtNdY]YouTube - OdiS[/ame] Oh to be a teen again. ~Mandy

When is the last Day, wed, or monday? Are we counting actual calender days or working days? ~Mandy

I'm told it's the bands that cater to the young, sad, weird hair boys. They have the really long bangs, usually in their faces, wear tight t-shirts, and tight pants. (think skinny legged jeans). Hot Topic now carries skinny tees for the guys. There are 3 ways to classify music, EMO, ScreamO and ExtremeO, go figure. I have a 17 year old niece that spends loads of time with us, that is how I know this. She says the EMO boys are depressed little wimps. ~Mandy

bumping again....thanks again you guys are the best ~Mandy

Dr. Phil tomorrow with Sharon Osborne
piercedqt78 replied to Chris S. - L.I.'s topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I love Sharon, but am starting to wonder if she is saying she is having it removed for the publicity? If she evades the questions, how many people will buy the book looking for answers? I know that Star Jones sold tons of books by claiming it was a tell all about her weight loss. And it wasn't, maybe Sharon will keep her band after all? ~Mandy
