PB'ing is when something you eat or drink comes back up. PB stands for productive burping. ~Mandy

Try drinking aloe juice. I get it at wal-mart. It taste really bed, but will help with the swollen stoma. Also try egg drop soup. It will fill you up and also sooth the upset stomach. Can you drink hot tea? What about Hot broth? Try that for 48 hours, then cream soups for 24-48 hours. Then mushies, then soft foods, then solids. I can't eat scrambled eggs at all, but I can eat steak. Eggs get stuck 100% of the time unless they are really creamy egg salad, think 50/50 mayo and eggs. I was over filled for 8 months and now, it was miserable, but the unfill made all the difference in the world for me. I was able to eat again, and I lost 4 pounds the first week of being able to consume real food again. I would call on monday, but try taking it easy for a day or so and see if that helps. ~Mandy

What does it feel like to get some fill taken out?
piercedqt78 replied to reqgoddess's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Feels the same as a fill. I was allowed to eat the same day. My doctor said that since he was taking saline out, I would be fine to eat. I had gone long enough without nutrition. ~Mandy -
Dianne, I am so sorry. Remember that she did this to her self, not to you or your family. Unfortunatly mental illness hurts so many people, not just the ones with the problems. I hope your family will find peace. (((hugs))) ~Mandy

Actually Dr. Santiago Horgan was the first in the Chicagoland area doing the band. He was one of the major FDA test centers. ~Mandy

Cindy, you will have to post pics of everyone in their shirts, that sounds like fun. I can't get my family to do anything like that, they are all sticks in the mud. Abi and I have matching Lady and the Tramp shirts and also Alice in Wonderland shirts. The Disney Store has several shirts in kid and adult sizes now. We got them when they were on sale for $5. Last year I tried to get my family to dressup for the halloween party, noone did. So this year I gave up, everyone dresses themselves, cept me and Abi, we will be the belle of the ball. Sherry, I have a spare tire too. I also have waaayyyy too much giggle in my inner thighs. My mom suggested a stronger workout, I told her I would have to become a body builder to fill in all that skin. I'm talking to the plastic surgeon when I get back from Disney. Abi is doing pretty good today, she is sooo crabby. I have to put drops in her nose to dissolve the packing (3x a day) and she tells me each time that I don't like her. 10 more days....and the drops are done. Be back later. ~Mandy

Since you guys are local I thougt I would put the offer out there. I have a total gym ultra for sale I'm asking $100 for it. My mom bought it and her back is too bad to use it. She paid $1800 for it. It's the one Cristy Brinkly and Chuck Norris sell. I already have one and LOVE it. She also has a Health Rider, I can't use it due to my knee and foot problems, she wants $50 for that. Let me know if anyone is interested. ~Mandy -

Veggestyle, what grade do you teach? We would love to see you at the next lunch. Is the 16th ok for you? ~Mandy -
Just make sure the turkey you are using is all white meat, the dark has almost as much fat as beef. I do a mix 50/50 turkey and lean beef. Like Stacy said as long as there is a sauce you can't tell the diff. We have also switched to turkey sausage and bacon. ~Mandy

Where is this info coming from? Who is watching her? She is in a cell alone in an area for celebrities, and public officials. She has to be back in court tomorrow, she just might be back in jail by this time tomorrow night. Paris Hilton ordered to return to court - Yahoo! News ~Mandy

I joked with my husband that instead of her house for house arrest, she should be stuck in MY house for the full time. LOL. I live in a 3 bedroom 1.5 bath townhouse. It would kill her to live here. As for being someone's bitch she was in a cell alone. ~Mandy

She has totally stolen our hearts. She is soooo sweet and cuddly. She was a stray (I can't believe noone came looking for her for 2 weeks) she has some skin issues around her face from eating off the rough pavement, they are getting better, but we have to be careful with her face. She is ALWAYS willing to give kisses, and she sleeps so sound right up against anyone that will sit still for her. She sits, and stays for a treat, she also barks when someone rings the doorbell. I'm guessing that at some point someone loved her, and took really good care of her. I'm blessed to have her. She also seems happy here, she will live a lucky spoiled life with me. ~Mandy

My girls are the best. I love the Boston Terrier breed. They are smart, loyal and very low grooming. ~Mandy

My first real meal was meatloaf. I live on maetballs, meatloaf, and taco meat (made into nachos). Try sneaking ground turkey in for a heathy option. I mix beef and turkey 50/50 and my family can't tell the diff. ~Mandy

Here is a picture of my Oreo (we've had her since last fall, and our new baby Bingo, we got her tuesday. (never let a 5 year old name a new dog)

A simple sugestion for those that need clothes but don't want to spend a ton on new stuff for one season. I found a local resale shop and "rent" my clothes there. I buy what I need and then re-donate it when I'm done with it. I get nice things cheap and a good tax write off too. ~Mandy

Sonia, that's great. And my math works that out the be 27 MILES!!!!!! That is great, I am so proud of you. Abi had her surgery yesterday and she did really good. It has been a long 36 hours since, but we are doing ok. Surgery was supposed to take 15 mins and it took almost 45. They were able to repair the right side of her nose and sinus, and they packed the left to prevent bleeding for the next 10-14 days. She is tired and crabby but with the packing I don't blame her one bit. I'm sure it's uncomfortable. Also we are having to do saline spray 3 times a day to help disolve the packing, and she HATES that. I'm ok, with reschedualing, let me know what's good for everyone. ~Mandy -
We are HOME!!!! Surgery took a bit longer than planned but all went very very well. Abi is sleeping and things are pretty quiet. I have news.....we adopted a sweet little Boston Terrier today. I will post pictures tonight. I am in love!!!! ~Mandy

Kat, call the local police department and ask if there is a womans shelter that takes clothes. I know we have one here that is ALWAYS looking for women and childrens clothes for the residents. It's also a great tax break. ~Mandy

My screen was messed up again last week too, but I was able to fix it again. If you need help with it let me know. ~Mandy

Hey, did you guys know that kids mouthwash (code blue) was recalled? It has no preservatives in it and it's building bacteria in high numbers. Every bottle made was recalled. Also there is a GE dishwasher recall. GE Safety Recall: product safety recall, consumer product safety recall, product recall ~Mandy

I'm here but having issues with my links not working, so getting into LBT is not easy right now. Is that just me? We are battleing a really bed nose bleed tonight. I'm so glad that tomorow will hopefully make this better. We have to be at the surgical center tomorrow at 7:15. I will sooooo need coffee. Keep my little princess in your bedtime prayers. ~Mandy
