The party here was great, Hey Kat how did it go for you???? We had people drop in all day, and I only have a small amount of juk food left over, woohoo!!! I do however have a big chunk of cake left over, and it was good cake. I am sooo tired, I think I am going to take a hot bath and get some rest. I will check in tomorrow. I have finished cleaning the house, and all the fod prep work is done. People will be here in abour 1 hour and 45 mins. I need a shower but that's about it. I even managed to load the dishwasher as I preped stuff so there are no dirty dishes for after. Dave is doing the cooking on the grill, burgers, brats and hot dogs. I made pasta salad, dips (with chips) I bought a cake, and ice cream. I have all the veggies cut up and ready to go. I've been chopping cucumbers, tomatos and onions all morning. Between the macaroni salad and toppings for the burgers and dogs, there are a ton of veggies cut up. I have a nifty slicer and it made it quick work. I also have a vegatatian niece, so she is having macaroni salad and cheese pizza. She also loves my spinich dip, so I made a HUGE container of it for her (and me too). I am sending Dave to pick up the cake so I can finish up around here. I'll check in later if the party doesn't kill me. ~Mandy

Cindy, that's the beauty of it, you don't need cosmetics or a curling iron. You look great just natural, even the the florida heat :mad: . I only share early morning pictures. I have some really bad ones of me mid-day, I am a southern flower, I wilt in the heat. LOL! I have to say though that is better as I lose weight. ~Mandy

Kat, my heart breaks for you and the horrid time in your life. I am so sory for your loss and also for the time spent with that terrible man. I have an ex husband that was very abusive, so I can relate to you there. Thanks for sharing your story, I am sure that Dianne will be there for her sister but hearing first hand stories helps to understand what her sis is going through. (((hugs))) ~Mandy

Dianne, I am sooo sorry for your family. I'm sure your sister will start to understand in time that her mom was less than stable. Give her time. How old is your sister? Sometimes grief comes out in ugly ways. My dad was less than a great man, but I still had to grieve him when he died. I'm sure people everywhere wanted to tell me I was better off without him, but I didn't realize that until about 6 months later. Give her some time, be there for her and this too will pass. ~Mandy

I am able to take prilosec OTC without a problem. I even take them whole. ~Mandy

I use the flakes all the time, the buttermilk helps with moisture. I have also used mayo. I add ranch dressing mix, and make ranch chicken. It's like shake-n-bake without the salt. ~Mandy

Oh, Cindy I can't wait to go....I hope we get a magical moment too. Abi and I have matching shirts for several days while we are there. Kaki Gori is japanese shaved ice with syrup on it, strawberry, melon, tangerine. They make a rainbow one too....yummmmm. ~Mandy

My scars are still pretty dark, and I am two years out. I don't think she has a band because she has never hidden her plastic surgery, she has ALWAYS been open and honest about all her "enhancements". Also if those are scars and not shadows, could be from any abdominal surgery, gall bladder, laporoscopy, tubes being tied, just about anything. ~Mandy

Cindy, glad you are back. Are you going to share some pics? How did the t-shirts work out? Did you see the new stage show at the Magic Kingdom? I was told the chaacters are talking now, and their eyes move. Sounds creepy to me, cool but creepy. Did you see that or did they already discontiune it? I know there have been some technical issues there. Hope you have a Dole Whip and Kaki Gori while thinking of me, if you thought of me while eating them we split the calories ya know... ~Mandy

I love to make chicken in the oven, I dip it in buttermilk, (water works too) and then in instant mashed potato flakes. (Idaho are my fave, they come in a red box) Then bake as usual. You can make them any flavor you like, ranch, garlic, just about any dry seasoning added to the potato flakes works very well. It adds some carbs, but taste like fried chicken without all the fat and oil. ~Mandy

My doc says, 24 hours liquids after a vomiting episode. A PB is when food just comes back up in a burp. If you are heaving or if the "PB" lasts for any amount of time, the 24 hour rule applies. If the food just comes back up without any discomfort or struggle, you can resume eating just slower and smaller bites. If it is bad, I also do Aloe juice, to sooth the throat and stoma. ~Mandy

This is also a big family trip (11 family members and a bunch of band sisters will all be there at the same time) , but we are all doing our own thing. I am a Disney nut, living in Chicago. I write for a Disney newsletter, and also plan trips for everyone I know. I always joke, I may not know everything but I know Disney. My hubby and I want to retire to Lake Buena Vista someday. ~Mandy

I had H.pylori a few years ago. My doc said it is caused by fast food. (I'm guessing poor hand washing???) It was cleared up with simple anti-biotics. Was there a reason for all the other meds? Congrats on being rid of it, HP can be nasty to deal with. ~Mandy

I don't really see scars either. Just hanging skin. I still don't think she has a band. As for who would do a band on someone with only 50 pounds to lose? Any Mexican surgeon, and most american surgeons that are dealing with a cash patient. ~Mandy

I can't answer about Dr. Ortiz (do a search on here there are tons of posts about him) but I see Dr. Lahman at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet, not sure about mexico band patients but he sees me and he didn't do my band. ~Mandy

Sherry, search Angel tattoos, on yahoo and then click images, there are thousands of them to look at. Another great place to look is at posters, there are some really cool angel posters out there. Look at hot topic, they have post cards and stuff with angels too. I am cleaning house now, I got some work on my tattoo last night and my leg is sore. I have cleaned the upstairs, and am getting ready to attack the main level. I get out of cleaning the lower level this week, we ripped the carpet out and tile is being installed this week, so there isn't much to do down there. My darling hubby changed the cat pan already, and I am going to give a quick wipe down to the bathroom and the downstairs is done. I already have the dishwasher loaded so the kitchen is half way done. ~Mandy

Patty, Dave can clean all 3 levels of my house in an hour. It takes me all day. If I clean after he does, it takes me a day and a half I guess it's the Mars/Venus thing. I am a bit of a clean freak, I worked in a tattoo studio for 12 years, that will make you a clean freak. I am also sorta germ phobic....wonder if that affects my cleaning? I hope you have a great time. Just wait the more you lose the better Disney is, you can do more, and the rides are soooo much more comfy. If you are shrinking, check out a resale shop or some garage sales, great places to get clothes in smaller sizes for cheap. ~Mandy
