I had to have major surgery this week and my band doc decided to pop in an dtotally unfill my band. I am a bit freaked out, I wanted a partial unfill but instead I am empty. Yikes!! ~Mandy

Hi guys, I'm at my mom's now. I was discharged today, still tired and in some pain but each day gets a bit better. I am going home tomorrow so I will be here more. ~Mandy

Hi guys, I am just checking in from my hospital room. I did fine in surgery. I had a ton of pain yesterday but today is much much better. I will check in when I get home. The online service in the room is hard to use, kinda like web-tv. Just posting takes forever. ~Mandy

Hi all! I am in my room at the hospital. I had a really rough day yesterday, but today has been much better. The doctor did a total hysterectomy including the left ovary adn tube. He was able to save the right ovary for the time being. He also removed my appendix. I have about an 8 inch incision, but today the pain is minimal. yesterday it was unbearable. It took several doses of morphine to give me any relief at all. Lat night they finally got the pain under control enough that I was able to sleep 15 mins at a time. I had a morphine button and also the pump until this morning. Looks like i will get to go home tomorrow. Hope everyone is doing well. ~Mandy

amichelle, here is my lapband shopping list: heating pad flexible ice pack liquid tylenol (they make adult strength) chewable or liquid gas-x a few books or movies comfy clothes (loose waisted shorts or jumpers) squishy pillow for car ride (guard against seatbelt) a sports bra (doc said no underwire for a few days) protien shakes flavored water make sure you have a good blender I bought a drink mixer for the protien mix (cost $10 at walmart) broth or stuff to make broth sugarfree popsicles and jello sugar free gum (ask your doctor) sugar free breathmints (ask your doctor) *Ask at your pre-op for the pain med prescription so you can have it all ready to go when you get home, our walgreens has to order liquid pain meds and it takes 3 days to get them. I am going to wish you well now. I will be just returning home from major surgery myself on wed evening and I don't want to forget. ~Mandy

Sherry, the last Potter book was just ok. I LOVED the series. I am currently burning copies of the audio books. I got them from the library and enjoyed them so much I am going to keep a copy. Jim Dale the guy that does the narration and voices for each character is wonderful. He set a world record for the most amount of voices on a single recording. I got mine from the library, and have listened to them several times. ~Mandy

Did anyone hear that she is writing an encyclapedia for the series, it will include the back story (she says Dean Thomas has a very interesting past) and the whole story of their lives post Deathly Hallows. Kat, you laugh, but I DID ask. He said no but if I wanted to postpone surgery and consult with a PS he would gladly work with the PS of my choice. I told him the now constant pain would cause me to go mad. So I am going ahead with surgery and then I will consult with PS in a year or so. I really want to be at goal before I remove skin. Wouldn't that have been nice though? :confused: Cindy, girl you are always on the go. I wish I had the energy that you have. Right now I am sooooo tired and I just got out of bed. I think the pain is really starting to take it's toll on me. I will have wi-fi at the hospital so I'm packing my laptop....I will check in as soon as I am able, and will have my mom check in when I am out of surgery. Abi has her final doctors appointment today for the nasal surgery. She has only had two snoe bleeds since surgery, woohoo sucess. She is itching to get back to school, and has started driving my crazy (she didn't have far to drive) asking each and everyday, "Do I get to ride the bus today????" We have almost a month before we go back. She is bored, and it's starting to show. She will have fun next week while I am recovering, my mom is getting my niece to come and help with her, so she will have someone to play with for a few days. That will be a nice change. Good morning all, what is everyone up to today? I am doing some cleaning around the house. I went to the resale shop yesterday and bought a robe and some long nightshirts for after surgery. I also bought some crock pot friendly stuff for hubby to make next week. My mom has offered to come over and cook if needed. Well I'm off to Sam's club I need a good roast and some ground beef. ~Mandy

Almost done, I also requested the audio book from the library, I made a copy and I am returning it today so that someone else can enjoy it. Anyone listened to the audio books yet? They are read by Jim Dale and he is great. He does voices for everyone and really sucks you into the plot. ~Mandy

I had a great 2 days. Betty, you know I actually DO the piercing right? I've been a professional body piercer for almost 12 years now. I enjoy doing it, but it's hard to work noon-10pm when I have a little one in school and a hubby that works swing shifts. So I am seni-retired, I still work on my regulars, and their friends and family. And I do special events and promotions for a few local tattoo studios. I am having lunch with a few local girls today. So I'm off to shower and attempt to get dressed without waking DH, he worked all night. Cindy, Happy Anniversary. I have one coming up next sat. I am proud of all of the NJ girls, we are a bunch of hot chicks. ~Mandy

NJchick if you like Norbit then check out shirley Q Liquor, it's a white man doing a southern black woman. very very funny. I worked all day yesterday, the tattoo shop grand opening went well. I have another long day today, but it feels good to be there. I also made it in time to pick up my copy of Harry Potter last night. It was more of a 1am release rather than midnight, but at least I got my copy. I will be reading that tomorow. I am also having lunch with some lovely Chicago girls tomorrow. I will check in either tonight or in the morning. only 9 days til surgery. ~Mandy

1pm, I will be there. I worked 10 hours yesterday after only a few hours sleep, then I went and picked up my Harry Potter last night, I was pretty far back in line so I didn't get to the register until after 1am. I came home and colapsed into a puddle across the foot of my bed. I am up showered and heading back to work, another 10 or so hours. I will get some sleep tonight and be there tomorrow. ~Mandy
