  1. Yes, my insurance covers weight loss surgery. I did speak to them to confirm. Just wondering if I need to keep in contact with the insurance? I see on here that people have an insurance coordinator they talk too. I haven't done this, is it something I should do?? I started my process with the wls clinic in August. Yes, I do have a six month supervised diet requirements. I did start in June with my pcp she prescribed me phentermine. Do you think that would count as part of the six months?? So with that being said I would say November would be six consecutive months, what do think??? Would like to have this done before the end of the year only because not sure what my insurance deductible will be in 2014!!! Right now it's $1200.
  2. I have only been working with my weight loss clinic. I have not talked to my insurance, should I be contacting them?? Telling them what I'm doing?? I'm just confused, wls clinic says we take care of everything. I'm not getting warm fuzzing feeling with reading the posts on here. Please if you have any suggestion!!!

    question

Thank you for responding!! I have an appointment @ the weightloss clinic 10/7 will talk to them then. as far as my PCP she is fantastic and will write any letter I ask for. I would really like to move the process along along because of the Obama Care, that's coming up, also not sure what my deductible will be for my insurance in 2014. Right now it's $1200. God, only knows how much it will go up. Thank you again!!

    Nyquil

Years ago my Dad passed in his sleep of a massive heartattack . First thing the Emt guys asked was "did he take Nyquil" we said NO. I asked why? EMT, replied anyone that has it in their medicine cabinet throw it away it slows your heart down. Just thought I would throw this info out there. Haven't used it since.

    question

Started my process of wls in August 2013. In June of 2013 I was working with my Pcp with weightloss till Aug and she suggested the surgery. My insurance requires 6 months of supervised diet. Well, thought about the other day way should my pcp visit count? Called the weightloss clinic they said NO it all has to be here. Called my insurance they said absolutely it counts. What do you think??? I go back to my nut on Oct.7th talk about it then.
