  1. You shouldn't have any issues. My plan allowed caffeine (coffee), at week 6 post op. Just watch your calorie intake per cup and make sure you account for it during your daily calories.
  2. Congrats!! Keep up the great work.

    post op appt ..

Everyone has a different experience with losing on their new sleeve. Your doctor should know that, but it sounds like he's more concerned with his patient sleeve stats, to bring in more patients!! Great job, 17 pounds in 2 weeks is awesome!!
  5. Everyone experiences different tolerances for liquids. In my case, I was able to chug liquids 3 days post op and have not had any issues, I'll be 5 weeks post op next week.

    Time off for desk jobs?

I would say 2 weeks...then you'll most likely be in your pureed stage and used to your new sleeve.

    Sleevers by profession.

Many, many, many companies struggle during initial implementation, but if you hire or contract a Lean Six Sigma professional to develop a structured approach to implementation it should work. 1. Hire or contract a professional Black Belt or Master Black Belt to be in charge of the implementation of LSS 2. BB or MBB would Define an approach to implement 3. Launch Lean 6-Sigma training to train the masses - Some BB an MBB are certified trainers. (I'm certified to instruct Green Belt and Black Belt) classes a. Introduction to Lean 6-Sigma b. Green Belt certification programs c. Black Belt certification programs d. Introduction to Lean 4. Need buy-in from top management to get support from and most importantly buy-in from the masses This should make implementing Lean Six Sigma successful.

    Does anyone miss being overweight?

Not really, because I'm still overweight. Once I'm not overweight I will definatly not missed being overweight and unhealthy!! This is why we all started our journeys!!

    psych eval

    1) Psych evaluation is a breeze. They make you take an exam to see if you're crazy before you sit and talk to the Psychologist 2) Nutritionist evaluation is also a breeze. Try to remember back to 8th grade or High School Health Class, They will show you what is Protein, the difference between good carbs and bad carbs, etc. Good Luck!!

six days post...Scrambled eggs. Bad idea?

That is really soon for eggs... These were my instructions. Post-op Week 1 -2: liquid diet Week 3: pureed phase Week 4 - 5: soft food - My current phase Week 6 and beyond: all food as tolerated You should follow your post op instructions to a tee, as this will prevent complications with your new pouch. Remember why you started this journey to become a healthier you. Plus you'll eventually be able to eat all kind of foods. The beginning stage is supposed to teach you discipline. Just my 2 cents.

That's awesome. GE and Motorola put 6-Sigma on the map. I should become an MBB by the end of this year. 6-Sigma truly makes you look at everything in life in a different matter. I went as far as incorporating 6-Sigma to improve my golf swing. I used control charts to help me identify unstable performance in my golf scores, scores per hole for 2 years. I created check sheets to determine where my drives went, (left, center, or right). I even went as far as documenting a fish bone for my putting and drives. I went from shooting in the 100's to shooting in the upper 80's. With Lean now being a major part of 6-Sigma, I've also been incorporating Lean concepts in my everyday life, getting ride of waste making my personal time more efficient everyday and incorporating 5S in my garage has made wonders!!

    Anthem BCBS SC

I have BCBS IL, and It ranges between 24 hours up to 4 weeks. It depends on your insurance case worker. Plus it depends if your surgeon office has sent all the needed information in your package request. I was sleeved on August 26th this year and it took me 2 weeks to receive my approval.

Hi Everyone, I work for a fortune 500 company in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, as a Quality Manager, PMP and a Six Sigma Black Belt freak/geek, working towards my 6-Sigma Master Black Belt certification. I support Public Safety two way radios and the networking systems that make them work. I get to travel all over the world visiting my suppliers and customers which has been very exciting....(Germany, Mexico, Malaysia, Singapore, Asia, Brazil) to name various international cool places I've been fortunate enough to visit. I traveled almost everywhere in the US. I started my career as a software engineer, then a Network Administrator and it's been a fantastic ride so far!!
