I'm 3 weeks post surgery, and I've only been cleared for walking (90 min a day). I was given the go ahead to start weight training or Insanity, P90X type programs in my 5th week.

The weight loss king is officially frustrated!
J.Diesel replied to BigFrank's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Awesome Job. I just started my journey and reading your post has me really inspired!! Can you share how you were able to be so successful with your journey in such a short time period?? You may want to shock your system, less cardio and more weight training to build lean muscle. this might help you get passed this hump. -
I recently had my Gastric Sleeve Surgery on August 26, 2013 with Doctor Pete Rantis at Alexians Brothers Hospital. He did a FANTASTIC JOB!! What a Great Surgeon, I could not believe how fast my recovery was. I was walking 10,000 steps the day of surgery with minimal pain. My starting weight was 417 with a BMI of 58.2. I was diagnosed with a severe case of sleep apnea which has improved with the little weight loss to date, My current weight is 375 with a BMI of 52.3. I’m very excited with my choice so far. I’m currently in the pureed phase about to start my soft foods. Any good recommendations for what soft foods to start on?
