I knew a girl who lost 60 pounds without a fill I guess it depends on your anatomy maybe all that was needed was the band by itself

I have had a horrific cough and cold coughing alot could this do anything to the port and band just worried already had a flipped port

My doctor just feels for the port he says he can feel the restriction from the amount of pressure he can feel from the syringe of the needle he was accurate I wanted more of a fill but after he checked he gave me what he thought was appropriate it was go figure.

I have 2 ccs in my band third fill now I feel restriction first two no restriction

I had the band June 9th did have to go back in august because the port flipped have lost 40 pounds now it is very slow but am losing like the band a lot controls my eating don't regret it had surgery in worcester ma Dr. czerniach good luck

Just to throw this out there but how many people believe there is a genetic link to obesity something in our bodies just doesn't work right because no matter how much we lost in the past we always put it back. I really feel that it is genetically linked let me know how you feel

Yah this is no way out unless diet the rest of your life starvin or surgery here we are

How much weight in a month does everyone lose? In the beginning I lost quickly now I have been playing with losing like 2 pounds in a month. and strangley to say just tonight my husband said to me are you still dieting it hurt kind of because its true I haven't lost lately let me know how you guys feel thanks.

Yeah at the beginning a lost alot with minimal effort now I am fighting for every pound at this rate I'll never reach my goal of 100 pounds per month

I was on vacation at this breakfast buffet woofed down a breakfast sausage then all of the sudden so oh my need to vomit well didn't know where the bathroom was was searching with my eyes finally seen the sign ran so fast got right in front of the stall and heaved then had to pick it up with toilet paper learned my lesson haven't had a sausage since hate that feeling

Its just the luck of the draw some people have the band and they are fine others not I had trouble at the beginning flippped port scar tissure but it has resolved and I hope i am on my way its slow but I in for the fight

You said so eloquently what a lot of us feel we are our own worst critics and we always put others before us. We have to love ourselves first congrats on your success you look great

Just a generalized question my port scar is horizontal side to side but all my other scars are up and down does any one else have this I asked my doctor and they said the muscle goes up and down and that is why he cut like that just wondering because the up and down scars are more raised. let me know

Just wanted to know what does being full feel like when your eating and you feel restriction I stop but probably 10 minutes later I think the food passes and I can eat again what i'm probably want to know after you feel restriction how long does it usually last for everyone I got the band to feel full but the full feeling doesn't last long and I'm eating again help

I had to have my port fixed to because it had flipped hated doing it but it had to happen it is now fine and have restriction it all works out .

1. drinking with meals, chewing gum, not eating protien first, eating late at night.not exercizing, its not easy is it.

first off I cannot believe your weight loss that is so nuts can't believe it you must be so happy I also had a flipped port and scarring on the tube where it came thru the muscle thats what made the sutures pull and the port to flip. Had to go back to surgery it was crappy but what good is the band without port acsses recovery wasn't as bad as getting the whole band just a major inconvienence now Ill tell you I am constantly feeling for the port though the price we have to pay go figure. port flipping is pretty common though good luck

Just wanted to know how many fills did everyone get before they felt proper restriction let me know i have had two and don't feel it. please respond

Does insurance pay for any of this if you have it I know people who have gastric bypass and have had breast arms tummy thigh lift and have not paid a dime they had insurance they had to fight for it but they got it done

So strange maybe she'll wake up maybe not shes young and nieve I personally thought he didn't have it in him I bet its not his kid just is too creepy hes changed totally

I to had port problems mine had flipped the sutures pulled out and I had scar tissue where the tube comes out of the stomach muscle long story short they had to clear away the scar tissue move the port I ended up with an infection also my stomach filled up with fluid from the trauma and had to be on antibiotics which led to a yeast infection but it did heal and since I have gotten a fill it is such a pain I know but things happen and you never know who it is going to be good luck and I hope it works out for you

I always dreaded winter sad to say because I had to be back to wearing pants for years I had maybe one of two sundresses well like dresses I wore non stop then the cold weather started and the stress set in well to make a long story short I just tried on a pair of jeans and they fit i am so hopeing that I can keep the weight off forever I desperately want to reach my goal and get on with my life thanks for listening see yah

Your in inspiration I am to waning from lap band rules and not losing some things go down so easily and its easy to have them to eat but if you want to have true weight we still have to work at it sad but true

No they said dont use it but its okay I quess short term just because it can irritate the stomach someone at work forgot about it to she had the band she used motrin for a toothache and ended up with stomach pains in the er she use it very long term though if you havennt had symptoms yet your okay
